A Paisa home for tremendous music

The aesthetic of a nocturnal mansion and the pulse of Paisa electronic music cross on the Salón Amador dance floor, a space that made the expression música tremenda a declaration of identity. Its first decade, celebrated in 2024, places the start of the project in 2014 and links it to the vision of eight Antioqueños who were looking for a stable place to share electronic music in its different facets. The club's imagery looks toward the elegance of early 20th-century mansions and toward the figure of Carlos Coriolano Amador, but the result does not function as a nostalgic recreation: it operates as a contemporary, dark, social room centered on the dance floor.

Calle 10, system pressure, and two levels

Its location on Calle 10 in El Poblado places it within one of the busiest leisure areas of Medellín, although its programming moves away from the commercial circuit of the Zona Rosa. The experience is organized around a booth close to the audience, dense lighting, and a two-level venue, with reserved areas and a bar integrated into the nocturnal circulation. The most recognizable technical hallmark is the Void Acoustics system, assumed as a central part of its sonic identity. That choice reinforces physical listening, with solid bass and room pressure, suitable for long sessions of house, techno, melodic house, tech house, and indie dance.

From Medellín to the international map

The Salón Amador booth has received relevant names of global electronic music, including Black Coffee, Claptone, WhoMadeWho, ANNA, and Paul Oakenfold, along with a continuous base of Colombian and South American DJs. The agenda is usually articulated by weekends and special dates, with nights centered on techno, house, afro house, melodic techno, and hybrid club sounds. The room thus functions as a connection point between the local audience, emerging artists, and international headliners, without losing the character of a contained-size club where the proximity to the booth remains part of the experience.

More than a room, a scene platform

The growth of the project intensified after the opening of a new location in 2020, a stage that reinforced its operational capacity and consolidated the brand within the Breakfast Club ecosystem. From its environment, larger-scale initiatives like Ritvales and the local collaboration linked to CORE Tomorrowland have emerged, in addition to memory and dissemination projects like El Beat de la Montaña, dedicated to narrating the electronic scene of Medellín. Today Salón Amador remains active as one of the most recognizable nodes of Colombian club culture: an urban room, with variable agenda, defined aesthetic, and a community that understands it as a home to dance to electronic music until dawn.
