The neighborhood of X-rated cinemas

The name didn't come from a brand contest: it was born from the adult cinemas that dotted Chapinero and the girls' cards that were handed out along Carrera 13. A stone's throw from the Lourdes church, in 2016 a collective of architects, designers, promoters, and investors rebuilt a ruined property to open a club that didn't want to look like Bogotá's most polished circuit. The visual identity, by Sofía Reyes, borrowed the calligraphy of Barbie dolls and opted for deliberately ugly flyers: an anti-design that booking agencies didn't always understand and that, even so, became the venue's signature.

A Funktion-One as an engine

The expensive bet wasn't the furniture. It was the sound. The venue installed the first fixed Funktion-One system in Colombia, designed by Mike Igglesden and approved by Tony Andrews, with three systems in a crossed stereo configuration hung at 2.5 meters. Main room with Resolution 2 SH, F215, and BR221; second room with F1201 and F118. The founders themselves summarized it as a rustic body with a powerful car engine. That technical rigor, rare at the time in the capital, turned the exposed brick and vaulted dance floor into a real argument for bringing in artists who hadn't played in the country.

Two floors and double pulse

The club is organized into two floors. Upstairs, house, techno, and dance floor mutations; downstairs, a second space designed from day one for salsa, champeta, cumbia, and Bogotano urban music. A rooftop terrace, metal stairs, and stained glass windows reminiscent of Mondrian complete an interior that is more warehouse than showcase. In the first year, Ben UFO and Legowelt had already passed through. In 2019, Boiler Room broadcast from the booth with Julian Gomez, Eris Drew, and a local generation. The programming has hosted Dekmantel nights, Shinedoe, and collectives that also use the walls for forums and assemblies. Over time, reggaeton and other party music snuck into the same house, without erasing the electronic axis.

Ten years as a trusted club

The LGTBI community, care on the dance floor, and free access for trans and non-binary people are part of the story as much as the sets. Enrique León, Leeon, was a co-founder, resident, and programmer in the early years. In September 2026, the venue celebrated ten years with the motto that is already a slogan: we are your trusted club. It remains on Calle 64, open mostly Fridays and Saturdays until dawn, with the booth looking out over a dense dance floor in the heart of Chapinero.
