The Sunrise Club, at home

The Sunrise Club is not a nomadic party: it is the name under which Bacarrá signs the nights at its nightclub on Playa de Gandía. The dance floor extends until 07:00, under a sky of LED screens and a second floor that overlooks the dance. In the third line, a few minutes from the Passeig Marítim de Neptú, the La Gran Manzana venue brings together a terrace, garden, stage, and VIP area in the same coastal club.

The first nightclub on the beach

Bacarrá established itself as the first nightclub on Playa de Gandía. It was opened by Luis Berenguer in the seventies, on the plot where Elodia and Rosario Santiago had inaugurated the Hotel Safari in 1966, then surrounded by orange trees. That block, between Legazpi and Barraques, remains the center of the family's nightlife: next to the venue coexist Eclipse, El Seis, La Dolce Vita, and the Barbacoa Bacarrá. The La Gran Manzana group also maintains Falkata as the other flagship nightclub on the beach. The saga continues with Aida Berenguer; from a trip her father took to the United States came the laser light that modernized the house's dance floors.

From big room to urban at dawn

The DJ booth has not only been commercial. In the 2010s, the venue programmed festival electronics with Bassjackers, Firebeatz, Vinai, Tom Swoon, and Yves V, on nights of electro, dutch, and big room. It has also opened the door to harder proposals, such as the Hardcore Festival with Dimitri K. The present, grouped under The Sunrise Club, has shifted towards reggaeton, Latin urban, and dance floor hits, with concerts by Yung Beef, La Zowi, Kidd Keo, Alvama Ice, or Noriel. Go-go dancers, performers, and entertainment continue to be part of the show.

Two levels until the lights come on

The interior is organized into two floors, with a perimeter balcony over a deep dance floor and a stage for artists and performances. The garden and terrace extend the night outdoors, and the LED ceiling turns every session into a visual show. General access is for those over 18. The calendar depends on the season and events; the published schedule runs from 00:00 to 07:00, with summer sessions from 00:30.
