A compact dance floor facing the marina

The golden glow of the room, the large disco ball, and the visuals that envelop the dance floor mark the personality of Chinois Ibiza, a venue that changed the nightlife pulse of Marina Botafoch by occupying the former space of HEART Ibiza in 2022. Integrated into the surroundings of the Ibiza Gran Hotel and the Casino de Ibiza, the club was born after a complete renovation driven by Island Hospitality, the group linked to Park Chinois in London. Its scale, close to a thousand people, places it far from the logic of macro-nightclubs and closer to a club experience where the contact between the DJ booth, the dance floor, and the public is immediate.

Shanghai imagined for dance floor culture

The interior works with an aesthetic of Asian cabaret, chinoiserie, and jazz clubs of 1930s Shanghai, with a luxurious reading but designed for the Ibizan night. The layout functions as a single room: all attendees look toward the same action and the production is concentrated on a compact dance floor, supported by a 360º digital wall, a mobile lighting rig, and a central ball that refracts lasers onto the ceiling. That spatial decision defines much of its identity; Chinois does not compete by size, but by density, closeness, and control of the atmosphere.

Immersive sound and signature programming

The technical part is one of its main arguments. The Meyer Sound system combines Leopard PA, Ultra-X40, UPQ, 1100-LFC subwoofers, Galileo Galaxy 816 processing, and SpaceMap immersive control, an architecture oriented toward maintaining pressure, intelligibility, and detail in a medium-format room. Musically, Chinois moves between house, deep house, melodic techno, afro house, and club electronics with an international vocation. In its seasons, residencies and concepts like Defected, The Masquerade by Claptone, SAGA by Bedouin, La Troya, TRIP, Appetite, and Chinois Presents have coexisted, in addition to appearances by figures linked to the global and local Ibiza circuit.

A seasonal club with a human scale

Its public usually seeks a night less massive than that of the great superclubs, but with careful production, VIP tables, backstage, social terrace, and a more selective door. The experience is designed to preserve an idea of club culture based on music, community, and direct relationship with the DJ, without renouncing the visual language and service of the high Ibizan night. It currently operates as an active club by variable programming, with greater intensity between spring and autumn, and has established itself as one of the spaces that offer an intimate, sophisticated, and dance-floor-centered alternative within the current scene of Eivissa.
