A monumental head as a threshold

A stone head, palm trees, and a wash of sea-green light mark the entrance to Falkata on the beach of Gandía. This is no passing set design: it is the gateway to a mega-club of over 8,000 m² that the venue presents as a home to over forty years of nightlife. The complex is part of the La Gran Manzana group, born in the same city in 1966, and remains anchored to the beachfront, not as a traveling brand.

Open-air electronics

Falkata's most iconic feature is the Sundown Club, the open-air mega-stage where the club has written its electronic chapter. Artists such as Alesso, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Nicky Romero, Nervo, Blasterjaxx, Deorro, Dannic, Luciano, Paco Osuna, Miss K8, and Dubfire have graced that dancefloor. Official aftermovies show an elevated DJ booth, screens, pyrotechnics, and a massive open-air dancefloor. In 2016, the complex even hosted the SanSan Festival, with extra stages and a dining area: proof that the venue also functions as infrastructure for mega-events.

Multiple dancefloors, one same block

Falkata does not bet on just one booth. Its official layout divides the night between La Diva —electronic and chart hits—, La Millenium —Spanish pop and shared anthems—, La Latina —reggaeton and dembow— and La Terraza, outdoors. The complex has been described as having six stages: three outdoor ones —Sundown Club, central tent, and swimming pools for pool parties— and parallel indoor rooms. That architecture explains why they have also hosted C. Tangana, Karol G, Arcángel, Bad Gyal, or Juanes: the building is designed for several parties to coexist within the same venue.

Four decades without leaving the coast

The venue publishes opening hours from 00:00 to 07:00 and a schedule that, especially in summer, changes according to the lineup. In June 2020, it was the first club in the Valencian territory to reopen after the lockdown, with a renovated terrace and reduced capacity. The dress code prohibits costumes and offensive insignia. More than four decades later, Falkata remains the great physical container of nightlife on the beach of Gandía: a venue that reinvents itself without leaving the Camí Vell de València.
