The Beginnings and the Golden Age

Located in the heart of El Retiro Park in Madrid, the historic Florida Park is one of the most legendary leisure and entertainment venues in all of Spain. Although the building's origins date back to 1814, when it served as a hunting lodge for King Ferdinand VII and later as an oxygenated water spa, its true history as a party venue began to take shape in the mid-20th century. After being known in the thirties as Viena Park, the venue definitively adopted the name Florida Park in the 1940s. However, it was during the seventies and eighties that the venue reached its peak, becoming the absolute epicenter of Madrid's nightlife and national and international show business. Thanks to television programs broadcast live from its legendary hall, stars of the stature of Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Miguel Bosé, or Julio Iglesias graced its stage. Also unforgettable is the television anecdote that went down in Spanish history in 1977, when the unrepeatable Lola Flores interrupted her performance to look for a valuable gold earring that had flown into the audience.

The Rebirth of a Madrid Icon

After the closure of the original venue in 2013 due to problems with the administrative concession and the deterioration of its facilities, the city feared losing this emblematic corner forever. Fortunately, an ambitious renovation project led by businessman Ramón Matoses brought the venue back to life, which reopened its doors in 2016 under the name Florida Retiro, to later recover its glorious original name: Florida Park. The deep renovation, taking care of every architectural detail and respecting the iconic dome of the main hall, managed to transform the complex into a modern multidisciplinary space that combines haute cuisine, culture, and, of course, top-level nightlife. The new interior design maintains the classic glamour but adapts it to the demands of the 21st century, creating a sophisticated environment that continues to attract the social and cultural elite of the capital.

The Nightlife Experience Today

Nowadays, the night at Florida Park is synonymous with exclusivity and fun in an unparalleled natural setting. The nightclub and party hall, popularly known as La Cúpula, features an advanced sound and lighting system, offering clubbing sessions starring prominent national and international DJs, commercial music, house, and themed events. With an approximate capacity of 1000 people in its main room, the club is complemented by several adjacent spaces such as El Pabellón, La Galería, Los Kioscos, and a spectacular open-air Terrace, ideal for Madrid's spring and summer nights. Its elegant dress code and its careful hospitality proposal, which includes multiple VIP areas and an excellent cocktail service, have returned Florida Park to the throne of Madrid's nightlife, proving that its legacy of elegance, party, and tradition is more alive than ever among the leafy trees of El Retiro.
