The hybrid on Calle de los Trujillos

A step away from Callao, a discreet door at number 7 of Calle de los Trujillos concentrates two nights in a single venue: an electronic dance floor and a cruising labyrinth. STRONG The Club is not a touring brand or a party with a borrowed headquarters; it is the physical venue, men only, that the Madrid gay scene continues to go to dance and disappear under the same roof. Regular hours are Wednesday to Sunday, from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, between Callao, Ópera, and Sol.

Labyrinth, LED, and darkroom

The interior is better understood as a journey than a single room. The club articulates four zones connected: a dance floor with a stage, a main bar wrapped by a curved LED screen from the front to the ceiling, another U-shaped bar overlooking the booth, and a more secluded area. The map is completed by private cabins, lockers, and a darkroom that is part of the venue's memory. The ritual is physical: you enter, leave your street clothes behind, and the body takes control. It is a space of leather, rubber, and harnesses as much as melodic house and techno.

The electronics that inhabit these walls

The in-house programming moves between indie dance, melodic house and techno, progressive house, nu disco, and dance club. In that booth, house names like Carranco, José Lagares, Muñumer, The Kinky Team, Neixom, 2QIMIC, or Fran Lamadrid have been regulars. Parties with their own identity—Odarko, Into The Tank, the SleazyMadrid festival—are held within these walls; they do not replace the club, they occupy it. The venue remains when the lineup changes.

New direction on a nineties floor

The Strong on Trujillos comes from the early nineties, when the venue—also known as Strong Center—was already a reference for dancing and cruising in Madrid. After a renovation and a change of management starting in 2021 and 2022, it reappeared with more audiovisual weight, LED screens, and a more defined electronic agenda, without abandoning the men only code or the intersection between fetishism and the dance floor. In the city center, it remains a club with its own direction: not a borrowed after-party, but a venue that is recognized upon crossing the door.
