The black shutter and the green rabbit

On a pedestrian street in the Vigo Ensanche, a strip of ashlar is painted matte black, the metal shutter is lowered, and two plates are left in view: the name Mood Music Club in white letters with a dirty stroke and a green rabbit with an open mouth, with red X's in its eyes. There is no avenue neon or macro-club marquee. The threshold is that of a city center club: small, closed in on itself, designed for those who already know what they are coming for.

An intimate box for unfiltered techno

The venue has carved out a niche in the Vigo night precisely because of what it does not promise. It is not an industrial park venue or a brand that jumps from place to place: it is an intimate basement, with an industrial atmosphere, where techno—acid, hardtechno, schranz—is heard up close and the dance floor does not dilute. Promoters in the city describe it as an underground space, with careful sound and club treatment, and choose it when they want an all-night session without losing the close-quarters feel of the dance floor. The posters speak of raw energy, local warm-ups, and BPMs that rise without concessions. Whoever enters, enters to dance.

The same box, another skin

Before signing as Mood, the basement at Travesía Santiago de Vigo, 4 operated as Hache Music Club. In 2023, it was still programming concerts on that same corner of the Ensanche: Paula Mattheus passed through the venue in October, on tour. The street is short and pedestrian; a few doors away, Molotov occupies number 1. The commercial name changes; a street-level box remains between Urzáiz and García Barbón, far from the logic of the suburban club. Some hard techno nights are also announced as Hyper Club at that same address: same door, another sign.

Center, weekend, and shutter down

Today Mood operates as a club on Fridays, Saturdays, and special dates. The sessions usually start around 11:00 PM and extend according to the lineup, with +18 entry and a box office that moves in tiers. In 2026, the dance floor hosts anniversaries of local crews like Club 124, Energía Pura events with names from the Vigo and Portuguese scene, and acid and schranz nights. There is no terrace, no published VIP, or multi-room venue: there is a black facade, a rabbit in a cross, and a small dance floor in the center of Vigo. Whoever is looking for a designer after-party is on another street. Whoever is looking for the hit up close, ends up in front of that shutter.
