A Belgian bar that stayed open until dawn

In 2015, on Ratchadaphisek Soi 7, the venue that is still called Mustache today opened as a Belgian beer bar and bistro. It had three floors: a bar with vintage furniture, a Bollywood-inspired lounge, and a terrace designed as a beer garden. After midnight, that same house turned into an underground house party and served as an after-hours spot for those who kept the night going. The Facebook page from that year is the one the club still maintains. The pandemic forced the Ratchada location to close: Olivier Alexandre, known in the nightlife scene as Mr. Mustache, lost the venue when the landlord raised the rent after months of closure.

From a Sukhumvit alley to the fifth floor of EmQuartier

The name was not retired. Fridays and Saturdays moved to VHS Club, in the passage connecting Sukhumvit 13 and 15, until the final dance on May 27, 2022. On June 3 and 4, the operation reappeared at Young Place, Sukhumvit Soi 23, with a Turbo Sound system announced for a small dance floor. That address was still running in 2024, when nights were already being promoted with Funktion-One. Then came M Quartier: the fifth floor of the Escape Glass House, in EmQuartier, with a 300 person capacity, a terrace to get some air, and, once again, Funktion-One.

Ground floor, VOID, and a fast neighbor

The current building is on Decho Road, in Suriyawong, Bang Rak district, next to Silom. They found it about six months before the January 30, 2026, opening. Mustache took the ground floor, with house, tech house, melodic techno, and techno. Subwerk occupies the third floor, for hard techno and psytrance. One entrance and two clubs. Before that night, they stopped construction: Subwerk had filled up too quickly, and they rebuilt the foundation and security. The system in the downstairs club is a British VOID Acoustics, tuned for the venue. The published capacity is 700 people: a single dance floor, the DJ booth visible from the floor, high tables, VIP sofas, and a VVIP sofa on the mezzanine. After several weeks in the dark, on September 4 and 5, 2026, both floors reopened. On Friday, each with its own ticket. On Saturday, with the Two Clubs, One Ticket wristband. The Decho calendar has continued on Fridays and Saturdays, from 22:00 to 03:30.

No commercial hours

Residents open the club, guests enter after midnight, and the last hour is for those still inside. There are no commercial hours or requests. The booth has hosted Sven Väth, Stella Bossi, Teenage Mutants, Oscar L, Alle Farben, Christian Burkhardt, and Citizen Kain, along with the Bangkok talent that anchors the weekend. At the door, they require you to be 20 years old and have a physical ID: a screenshot on your phone is not valid. Swimwear, tank tops, and flip-flops are not allowed; sneakers are permitted. Online early bird tickets are cheaper than the box office and include a drink before midnight.

Mustache Takeover is another part of the project: more or less once a month, the team takes the music to rooftops, houses, and gardens, and sometimes outside of Bangkok. This is not this club. The club is the one on Decho.
