Red Ruby Club

Nightflow (Kenny Larkin Remix), by La Fleur, was the first track that played when Red Ruby Club opened on Jalan Petitenget. The track still summarizes the character of the venue: club house and techno, not tropical postcard music, on a Seminyak dance floor that works every night.

Disco glam, cage, and Grace Jones

The room was conceived as a tribute to the New York disco scene of the seventies and eighties. Neon lights, disco balls, lasers, and a TECHNO sign turn the interior into a dark and theatrical space, far from the beach club. In a comprehensive renovation presented as Red Ruby 2.0, the dance floor and terrace were redone with Studio Valmas furniture, a new lighting rig, and an explicit nod to Grace Jones. James Taylor and Elliot Shaw participated in that relaunch, the latter with previous experience at Ibiza's Circoloco.

Central booth and Funktion-One

The table layout places the booth in the heart of the dance floor: the DJ is in the middle, often inside a cage, and the public revolves around them. That 360-degree geometry is the venue's most characteristic gesture. The current system is Funktion-One, designed so that the bass of the techno and house fills an acoustically treated room. Outside, The Terrace changes register: open-air bar-restaurant, cocktails, cuisine, and shisha, with downtempo, disco, and softer house while Petitenget continues its early morning traffic.

Seven nights, from 23:00 toward dawn

There is no single big day. The calendar opens every night at 23:00 and lasts until late; the peak of the dance floor falls between midnight and 04:00 and can reach dawn. The week is articulated in its own series—Last Night in Bali, Soekoe of afro house, Red Alert, Stardust, Sunday afters—and in guest takeovers. Residents such as Shammui, James Taylor, Katze, Xjane Applestereo, or Touch the Sound sustain the pulse; the recent lineup has brought names such as Nakadia, Re.You, Bossi, or Edu Imbernon.

Petitenget as a threshold, not as a backdrop

Red Ruby is not a traveling party brand: it is a physical venue at No. 919x Jalan Petitenget, Kerobokan Kelod, with a VIP area, numbered tables, and a bar. Since 2017 it has survived renovations and the competition of Seminyak and Canggu without abandoning the house/techno axis. Whoever enters is looking for a dance floor, not a sunset.
