Brick by the Spree

In the warehouses of the former Bärenquell brewery in Niederschöneweide, the industrial void of southeast Berlin was filled with people again when the Griessmühle team rebuilt their home here. After the 2020 closure on Sonnenallee, the project settled in the Revier Südost site: first outdoors and, in November 2021, with two newly built warehouse dance floors. RSO.BERLIN is the physical club of those warehouses: exposed brick, high ceilings, urban art, and a tense, sometimes conflictive, relationship with the surrounding neighborhood.

ROBUS, SUMME, and the OPAN sky

The heart of the venue is two warehouse floors—ROBUS and SUMME—plus OPAN, the outdoor dance floor that activates in spring and summer. The sound is not a generic catalog: Kirsch Audio designed a custom 40 kW, 48-channel, 153-driver system with signature horns, and cardioid subwoofers were arranged in two rows outside to direct the bass and not flood the neighbors. In winter, the club concentrates indoors, with a cloakroom, a strict no-photography policy, and an awareness team visible on the dance floor. In summer, the venue opens to the sky and clubbing extends between factory walls and vacant lots.

Seasons that don't close the venue

Musically, the space declares itself to be of contemporary club culture, with a focus on techno and house, and ramifications towards EBM, italo, UK bass, and electro. Its own programming—XFORM, then RFLXN—coexists with long-running external nights like GEGEN, SYNOID, Planet Pleasure, or We Are Not Alone, and with artists who have passed through the booth: Ellen Allien, Peggy Gou, Floating Points, Oscar Mulero, Dasha Rush, or resident Lena Willikens. The club thinks in thematic seasons, not closing months: workshops, talks, and the Wall To Wall festival expand the use of the warehouses beyond the weekend.

Selective door in the southeast

The door does not guarantee entry even with a purchased ticket: it asks for an understanding of the musical focus and rejects weapons, liquids, aggressive intoxication, and those under 18. The venue communicates an open dress code: come as you are. The public arrives mainly by S-Bahn to Schöneweide and walks to Schnellerstraße 137. In 2026, the club remains active, with long weekends, outdoor parties, and a fifth-anniversary tour that closes in November in its own home, maintaining the venue as a pole of underground scene far from the Berlin center.
