Glass, steel, and a terrace looking at the sky

Under the glass roof of the Terrace, the Greenwich peninsula found a dance floor capable of bringing the pulse of Ibiza to London without abandoning its industrial DNA. Studio 338 opened to the public in 2014 with a very specific idea: to make house, techno, and long-running sessions coexist in a spacious, bright venue oriented toward day-to-night dancing. Its location on Boord Street, near The O2 and North Greenwich, separates it from the more central circuit of the capital and gives it its own identity within the London scene.

From the old Mitre to a large-format club

Before consolidating as a club, the building was part of a longer nightlife history in Greenwich: tavern, pub, comedy club, and enclave for unofficial raves in the nineties. Under the current brand, the venue experienced a turning point with the 2016 fire, which forced the reconstruction of an essential part of the space. The 2017 reopening returned the Terrace and main areas with renewed infrastructure: glass and steel structure, floor prepared for the dance floor, visual production, and a much more ambitious technical approach. That reconstruction was key to transforming the venue into a superclub without losing the character of an urban warehouse.

Between Ibiza, Greenwich, and the London booth

The musical identity of Studio 338 is supported by underground house, tech house, techno, and their ramifications into garage, drum and bass, afro house, or melodic house when the programming requires it. Names and brands linked to international club culture have passed through its booth, from Space Ibiza, Sankeys, Cocoon, ABODE, or Defected to sessions by artists like Sven Väth, Loco Dice, Luciano, Nicole Moudaber, Dubfire, Chicane, or Armand Van Helden. The venue should not be confused with those brands: its role is that of a physical container, a platform where promoters and communities occupy Garden, Terrace, and indoor rooms with formats ranging from daytime festivals to early morning sessions.

Void Acoustics and multi-layered dancing

Sound is one of the central pieces of the project. Studio 338 works with Void Acoustics on a custom system with Air Motion, Stasys subwoofers, and acoustic treatment designed to sustain pressure and clarity in a complex space. The experience is spread between a covered and heated terrace, a garden with a retractable roof, VIP areas with a view over the dance floor, LED screens, and more intimate areas for energy shifts. That combination of scale, natural light, views toward southeast London, and variable programming keeps the club as one of the most recognizable club culture venues in Greenwich.
