Few journeys within contemporary techno show such a fertile tension between the physical pressure of the dancefloor and inner listening as that of ANNA. Her language combines hypnotic basslines, tense melodies, and a very precise construction of energy, but in recent years she has also opened up a space of her own towards ambient, meditation, and music as a tool for collective transformation.

The discipline learned between vinyl and clubs

Her relationship with the booth began very early in the environment of Six, the family club located on the outskirts of São Paulo, where she learned to read the dancefloor as a teenager. That direct education, linked to the craft of the DJ rather than a sudden appearance on the scene, marked a long-term career. After establishing herself in Brazil, her international leap accelerated with her move to Barcelona in 2015, a move that brought her closer to the European circuit of clubs, festivals, and top-tier labels.

Expansive techno, melodic identity, and key labels

Global recognition arrived with increasingly recognizable production: techno with a firm pulse, immersive atmospheres, and a melodic sensibility capable of working both in dark rooms and on large stages. She released music on labels such as Drumcode, Diynamic, Kompakt, Hotflush, Turbo, Plus 8, Mute, Novamute, and Afterlife, with tracks and projects that expanded her presence on the international scene. Tracks like Odd Concept, Hidden Beauties, Spectral, and Forever Ravers, the latter alongside Miss Kittin, reinforced her position as a techno producer with a solid and recognizable signature.

From rave impact to deep listening

ANNA's evolution has not been limited to hardening or polishing her club sound. In 2023, she released Intentions, an album oriented towards ambient and emotional exploration released by Mercury KX and Decca, with collaborations from Jon Hopkins, Laraaji, and East Forest. That turn did not mean a break with her trajectory, but an expansion: the same precision she applies on the dancefloor appears in more contemplative pieces, where sound design, breathing, and texture replace the purely rhythmic impulse.

A global presence from Lisbon

Based in Lisbon, ANNA maintains an international activity that connects reference booths and massive stages. She has performed in spaces and festivals such as DC10, Hï Ibiza, Warung, Movement, Tomorrowland, Time Warp, Coachella, and Sónar, and has also signed remixes for artists such as Jon Hopkins, Orbital, Depeche Mode, Kiasmos, Martin Gore, Agoria, and Richie Hawtin. Her current position is supported by that double reading: a DJ capable of sustaining large-scale techno sessions and a producer who has incorporated a more introspective, spiritual, and expansive dimension into the electronic language.
