Club melody with a French memory

Oxia's journey is defined by a very recognizable idea of the dancefloor: functional techno, precise groove, and melodies that stick without turning the set into an exercise in nostalgia. From Grenoble, his name became associated with the second wave of French techno, but his language was never limited to a local scene. Black music, disco, funk, Italo disco, and the early forms of house from Chicago and New York fueled his beginnings before European techno marked the axis of his work as a DJ and producer.

Ozone, Goodlife and the first map

In the mid-nineties, Olivier Raymond began to shape Oxia together with Stéphane Deschezeaux, with whom he took the project live. In 1995, he created Ozone Records with Kiko and released the project's first maxi, Parametres, a stage that connected the energy of Grenoble with the French techno network of the time. Shortly after, together with The Hacker and Alexandre Reynaud, he participated in the creation of Goodlife, a key label for understanding his consolidation. At the end of that decade, the name remained in Raymond's hands as a solo project, with releases that paved his way on labels such as Intec, Terminal M, Kompakt, 8bit, Saved, or Knee Deep In Sound.

The permanent echo of Domino

His first album, 24 Heures, appeared in 2004 on Goodlife and showcased writing between melodic techno, electro, and long-form club music. Two years later came Domino on Kompakt, a track that would end up becoming one of the most recognizable pieces in his catalog. Reissued in 2017 by Sapiens with new remixes, the cut surpassed the scale of a club anthem and established itself as a transversal reference for several generations of DJs. In 2012, he released Tides Of Mind on InFiné, featuring collaborations such as Miss Kittin, and reinforced a more melodic facet without abandoning dancefloor pressure.

Diversions and long-distance relevance

In 2016, he co-founded Diversions Music with Nicolas Masseyeff, a platform from which he has maintained constant activity in the studio and the booth. His session for Cercle at Peleș Castle in 2019 expanded his international reach and confirmed the effectiveness of a sound that works both in clubs and in massive audiovisual formats. In recent years, he has released music and remixes on Warung, Bedrock, Sapiens, and his own label, with works such as Hold The Night, Runway, Vertige alongside Kiko, and the album Aelle, released in 2025. Oxia thus maintains a unique position: a veteran without a conservative gesture, a producer with a solid catalog, and a DJ capable of uniting tech house, melodic techno, and French elegance with a direct reading of the dancefloor.
