Turin, factory and acid

Boston 168 is the live project of Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca, an Italian duo that emerged in Turin, an industrial city whose mechanical memory runs through their way of understanding techno. Their name comes from Via Boston 168, the address of their first real studio, the place where they started producing rhythms, acid lines, and melodies with a strong spatial charge together. From the beginning, the project was associated with a very concrete idea: to turn acid techno into a laboratory of analog, physical, and emotional sound.

A live set built with machines

The identity of Boston 168 relies on a very direct relationship with hardware. Their performances are developed around drum machines, synthesizers, and sequencers such as Roland TR-909, TR-707, TB-303, Avalon Abstrakt Instruments, Moog Mother-32, and other studio equipment, combined with Ableton Live as a support tool. That architecture allows them to maintain a live format, with an important part of improvisation, where fragments of released tracks coexist with jams, 303 variations, hypnotic textures, and club pressure.

From the Old and Young label to the international scene

Before reaching global projection, Pace and Ferramosca, together with Gambo, promoted the Old and Young label, a platform that connected the experience of the Italian techno scene with a younger and more experimental outlook. Their catalog as Boston 168 later grew with releases on labels such as Enemy Records, Involve Records, Attic Music, Odd Even, BPitch Control, Blackworks, ARTS, and other key spaces of European techno. Among their standout works are The Drill EP, Acid Morning, Black Hole EP, 303 Regiment EP, Revelation EP, Oblivion EP, Phenomena, Drops In Heaven, 909 Therapy, Vax Of Love, Oddysee, Gigantia, Fast Chicago, and Acid Arcane.

Present: Your Acid Mate and a vision of their own

In 2026 they opened a new chapter with Your Acid Mate, their own label launched with Your Acid Mate 001, an EP focused on acid pressure, high-energy rhythms, and psychedelic atmospheres. That move reinforces their artistic autonomy and extends a trajectory marked by analog live sets, rave intensity, and the search for a less predictable techno. Their presence on stages and platforms such as Time Warp, ARTE Concert, HÖR Berlin, REACT, and sessions for HATE consolidates Boston 168 as one of the most recognizable European names in contemporary acid techno.
