Five summers of CircoLoco, booth without grid

CircoLoco Mondays at DC-10 have turned Chloé Caillet into one of Ibiza's fixed coordinates: long sets, of three hours or more, that traverse house, disco, electro, and that nineties Balearic sound from before the phone on the dancefloor. A multi-instrumentalist on piano, guitar, and synthesizers, she has gone from warming up New York venues to supporting Swedish House Mafia at Madison Square Garden and signing her debut on Ninja Tune.

Manhattan, Ed Banger, and the detour through Bristol

She was born in Manhattan and grew up between New York, Paris, and the United Kingdom. At seven, she studied classical piano at the New York Conservatory of Music; at eleven, she moved to Paris, in the midst of the Ed Banger boom, and moved between Social Club and Concrete. In Bristol, she taught herself guitar and played in rock bands. At eighteen, Glastonbury set her course. She returned to her hometown to study music business at NYU, interned at Republic Records, and, at twenty-one, worked in creative A&R at Lava Records. Her first DJ date was at Soho House.

A sunrise with Dixon and the leap to CircoLoco

At Burning Man, she crossed paths with Dixon on an art car at sunrise. From there came Pvblic Xcess alongside Josh Ludlow and a residency in the Funky Room at Pacha, including a sixteen-hour B2B session at The Kave. In 2021, she released Love Ain't Over on XCESS Records, with remixes by Gerd Janson, Carlita, and No_4mat and support from Pete Tong; that same year she remixed Beck's Chemical. The EP Intro (2023, CircoLoco Records) brought together NYWTF, with Mikhail Beltran, and Know Now, with Poté, the latter on Billboard's Best New Music list. The BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, recorded live and without a grid, arrived in July 2023.

SMIILE, Jocelyn Brown, and a dancefloor without VIP

In 2023, she launched SMIILE, a series of queer raves without tables or ropes that started in Barcelona and London and has passed through Ibiza—with takeovers at Pikes—, Paris, Mexico City, New York, and Los Angeles. In 2024, she opened SMIILE Records with 12 Inch Acid, alongside Luke Alessi. Here To Make You Smile and B Somebody, with SG Lewis, marked her leap as a producer. The One, with Alessi and Jocelyn Brown re-recording Somebody Else's Guy, was number one on Beatport and the best-selling house track on the platform in 2025. She has played at Panorama Bar, fabric, Coachella, Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, and Ultra Miami—in a b4b with Solomun, Four Tet, and Mau P—, as well as afterparties for Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Burberry, and Saint Laurent, and the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Dance Again: the voice, Ninja Tune, and the band album

The EP Dance Again, scheduled for September 25, 2026, on Ninja Tune, brings together Lemme Dance with Myd, Change with Luke Alessi, and Noise Keeper with D Stone, and shifts the center toward her voice and an eighties and new wave sensibility. Meanwhile, she is preparing her first album with a band, straddling rock and electronic music. She lives and produces in Ibiza, with a winter base in Miami, and continues to expand SMIILE as a community, label, and residency on Rinse FM.
