FVTVR

The name is written FVTVR, without vowels, like a future sign nailed to the concrete of the Docks of Austerlitz. Under the Cité de la Mode et du Design, the club occupies the level of the Seine: a raw, hybrid, and nocturnal venue that, since June 2023, has turned the industrial basement of the thirteenth district into a reference electronic dancefloor in Paris.

The descent to the dock level

The door does not impose itself: you have to look for it along the quai, like a discreet passage to another venue. Inside, you go down to an underground dancefloor of exposed concrete, with dry lines that look to Berlin and functionalism. In the center, a massive concrete booth functions as a command center: the DJ governs sound, rhythm, and light for hours. The Matière Noire studio imagined the lighting so as not to cover the architecture; Hypnos intervened in the staging. The state-of-the-art L-Acoustics system is the other skeleton of the venue. Next to the room, the venue adds an outdoor area, designed for the intersection between dancefloor, rest, and summer.

Another life in the same shell

The building of the old Magasins Généraux had already hosted nights of Nuits Fauves and the NF-34. FVTVR is not a change of sign: it is a new identity, promoted by Arnaud Frisch and the Assembly group, the same one that operates Silencio and the Wanderlust terrace. The artistic direction falls to Arthur Cohen and Emmanuel Gunther, founders of the Lust parties. The inauguration of June 16, 2023, with Pachanga Boys in charge of the whole night, marked the transition from a concert hall to a club with permission to stay open until dawn.

Invite, host, curate

Three formats organize the programming: FVTVR invite, FVTVR host, and FVTVR curated by. The line crosses hypnotic techno, house, and more performative gestures. Giegling, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, DVS1, Arca, or FKA twigs have passed through the booth. During Paris Fashion Week, the venue is used as a laboratory: designer after-parties, live acts, and dancefloor coexist in the same concrete box. The operations director Bryan Courtois summarizes it without euphemisms: you don't just program a DJ set, you set up a performance experience.

Mix of audiences on the dancefloor

The club does not declare itself exclusively queer, but it is a space for mixing audiences, with a visible LGTBIQ+ team and nights like Lust at the center of the agenda. Access rules insist on inclusion and reserve the right of admission. Activity remains subject to programming, with regular closings around 07:00.
