Marta Pons Hevia, born in 1974 in Madrid and legendarily known as DJ Marta, is one of the most important female figures in the history of electronic music in Spain. Her career began in 1994, at a time when DJ booths were an almost exclusively male domain. Starting her journey in places like Oh! Madrid and Mondino, Marta broke the mold with her aggressive technique and hard-hitting musical selection, proving that talent has no gender.

The Orange Phenomenon

Her name will be eternally linked to Radical, the legendary nightclub of the "Orange City". As a resident, Marta not only defined the venue's sound, but also helped sculpt the Cantaditas and Poky genre that dominated the Madrid scene in the early 2000s. Her sets, characterized by overflowing energy and fast mixing, became the soundtrack for an entire generation of clubbers who made the pilgrimage every weekend to see her in action.

Pioneer and Benchmark

Beyond the DJ booths, DJ Marta has also left her mark as a producer and entrepreneur, founding her label Wanchu Music and being awarded the Technics de Honor in 2005. Her decision to leave a stable job in advertising to dedicate herself 100% to music inspired countless subsequent artists. Today, with more than 25 years of career, Marta remains an indisputable benchmark, filling "Remember" festivals and proving that her legacy is more alive than ever.
