Yellow, hammers, and kicks that split the dancefloor

The yellow aesthetic of Dual Damage has become one of the most recognizable visual hallmarks of recent Dutch raw hardstyle: industrial vests, frontal energy, and a way of building drops based on extreme kicks, tense breaks, and melodies designed to lift large festival tents. The creative core is formed by Thijs Rooijakkers and Jesper Habraken, two names from North Brabant who turned a high school affinity for hardstyle into a project with its own identity.

The Olland basement before the fire

The duo's backstory passes through Elde College, where they met in 2014, and the small studio Thijs set up in his basement in Olland. Before Dual Damage, Thijs released music as Backfire and Jesper is linked to the alias Primex. The first public push came with Get Wrecked, initially conceived as an event to present Backfire's music at the City Theater of Tapperij de Beurs, in Schijndel. From that idea, Dual Damage was born: an alliance in which production, visual concept, communication, and live experience were united from the beginning.

High-pressure kicks and stadium melody

Their sound combines heavy kicks, very marked texture changes, and a melodic tension that retains an anthemic vocation. That formula allowed them to grow rapidly during 2023, the year in which the hardstyle audience began to associate their name with intense sets, aggressive edits, and an immediate response on the dancefloor. The leap was confirmed with performances at REBiRTH, REBELLiON, Intents, and Shokerz, in addition to the Most Promising Artist award at the Hardstyle Awards 2023.

Ravage as an extension of the brand

The duo's discography brings together tracks such as Hiding, Promises, Unbreakable, Louder Generation, Burning Down, Can’t Get You Outta My Head, Get Wrecked 2024 Tool, Soundwaves, Vengeance, Rave Mode, and Angel & Demon, as well as collaborations with Sub Zero Project, Rebelion, Warface, Fraw, DEEZL, The Straikerz, or MC Livid. Their own label, Ravage Records, functions as a natural extension of that universe: direct music for large stages and a platform for new talents in the hard dance spectrum.

A community of its own on a large scale

With the growth of Get Wrecked into larger venues and the creation of Louder Generation for young audiences aged 14 to 17, Dual Damage has turned its identity into something broader than a release calendar. Their presence on international mainstages, their debut on the RED stage at Defqon.1 2025, and the announcement of their first world album tour place the duo in a consolidation phase: they continue to operate from the radical language of raw hardstyle, but with the ambition of a global brand within hard dance culture.
