The voice of a British number 8 recorded at Ten Productions

In October 2000, at the Barcelona studios of Ten Productions, Xasqui Ten recorded a dance version of Fly on the Wings of Love, the track with which the Olsen Brothers had won Eurovision. The cut was released as XTM feat. Annia: Annia was a fictional name and the voice was that of Eva Marti. In Spain, the single entered the charts in 2001 and reached number 2; in 2003, with DJ Chucky and remixes by Sistema 3 and Flip & Fill, it reached number 8 in the United Kingdom, number 1 in Ireland, and 3 in Scotland. It sold more than 200,000 copies, was the thirty-second best-selling single of the year in the United Kingdom, and received silver certification from the BPI. The original music video was computer-generated; the performer remained, for years, off-camera.

Annia, the mask and the Vale Music catalog

In the dance scene of the early 2000s, the same vocalist could not repeat their image for every release, so Eva Marti signed as Annia, Mishelle, and other booth pseudonyms. With XTM and Vale Music —now part of Universal Music Spain— came 74-75, Walk Right Back, When the Rain Begins to Fall, and Give Me Your Love (2005), number 1 on the Pop Tip Chart and DMC Mainstream and 28 on the British chart. Her craft came from before: at fourteen, she studied acting, singing, and dance; she trained with private tutors, at the musical theater school Musical Memory, and in voice technique at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. Since 1991, she has worked for radio stations, studios, and record labels. In advertising, she has lent her voice to F.C. Barcelona, El Club Súper 3, Clan TV, CaixaBank, Ikea, Repsol, Orange, Oreo, Bayer, or Volotea. She also sang Un lugar más allá, by Emilio Alquézar, for Dragon Hill, la colina del dragón (2002), Goya winner for Best Animated Film; the song was a candidate for Best Original Song.

From the studio to the remember lineup

Together with Marian Dacal, another historic voice of the scene, she has moved from the recording booth to live performance. The duo tours festivals and remember parties —Love the Twenties, Barcelona Remember Festival, Molan los 90s— and has released tracks with Buenri, Ruboy, Julio Posadas, and DJ Valdi such as Promises, Happy Generation, Angels, or Streamline (In My Head). In 2025, she reactivated the anthem with Nils van Zandt in an official 4K music video. Both promote the 74&75 Vibes association from Cal Margoy, in Riu de Cerdanya, to champion dance music, máquina, and dancefloor techno as living culture, not just as a pendrive session. Today, the proper name occupies the lineup and the repertoire continues to tour Spain.
