Steel kicks in the new hard techno wave

In less than three years, Fantasm has gone from releasing solo industrial tracks to closing nights at venues like the Johan Cruijff ArenA. His sound is recognized by distorted kicks, dark atmospheres, and a rave energy that blends hard techno, industrial techno, and nods to hard dance. He doesn't look for slow-developing techno: he bets on dense drops, abrasive samples, and constant physical contact with the audience.

Godzilla, Verknipt and the European takeoff

He started producing in 2023. On August 14 of that year, he released Godzilla; on November 17, I Watched My Own Funeral arrived. On February 24, 2024, he debuted with Verknipt at the All Day Long event at Hemkade 48, in Zaandam. In April, he played at Elite Combined Forces at Now&Wow and closed the month with a surprise back-to-back alongside Karah at Rotterdam Rave. On June 9, he made his debut at Verknipt Festival, on a lineup with Sara Landry, Oguz, Novah, or Alt8. Artists like DYEN, Nico Moreno, 999999999, I Hate Models, or Paula Temple have supported his catalog.

Born in Los Angeles and based in Lyon, he built his scene in the European hard circuit rather than the classic techno club scene. His sessions combine his own tracks with hardstyle, hardcore, and reverse bass.

Buttercup, Teletech and the DJ Mag Top 100

In 2024, Buttercup With An Axe, with Juul Exler, became his most-listened-to track, with over sixteen million streams on Spotify. RED SPIDER LILY and Number One also arrived for Reckless, DYEN's label. In 2025, he expanded the map with REQUIEM PSYCHO alongside Hades, NFWU with Exproz, On Fire with So Juice, and HIT IT BOY with Kruelty. DJ Mag placed him at number 93 in the Top 100 DJs 2025, his first entry, highlighting industrial techno and dates like Teletech at Amnesia (Ibiza), Sound Waves in Porto, and Verknipt in Amsterdam.

On July 19, 2025, he shared the 360° mainstage of Verknipt ArenA in a back-to-back with DYEN. He has also appeared at Tomorrowland, Rotterdam Rave, R² Festival, Propaganda in Antwerp, and his own party line Wonder, alongside Rotterdam Rave.

The album KENZO and the present on the dancefloor

On February 27, 2026, he released KENZO, his first studio album, via WONDER: twenty tracks and about seventy-five minutes that traverse hard techno, industrial, and hard dance, with collaborations from Chaos Project, The Straikerz, Karah, or AZDAT. Shake That Bunda, with The Straikerz, and subsequent singles like BABY BOY confirm that the project is no longer just a dancefloor phenomenon, but a catalog of its own. Booking is handled by the Dutch agency Odysseys. With over one million monthly listeners on Spotify, Fantasm is one of the most visible faces of the hard techno generation that has taken the genre from warehouses to stadiums.
