The northwest gallop and rave memory

The gallop of Faster Horses is better understood from the damp clubs of Northern England than from a closed label. Raised in Toxteth, Liverpool, he grew up in a house marked by house and garage, with parents devoted to electronic music. An early fascination with Disclosure's Latch led, years later, to the discovery of Scuba, Burial, and other darker textures; that intersection between immediate melody, rave energy, and curiosity for rare sounds remained a recognizable axis of his identity.

Manchester as an underground accelerator

Upon moving to Manchester in 2021 to study music production at BIMM, the project came into contact with a much broader club culture. The basements of Fallowfield, The White Hotel, Hidden, and The Warehouse Project served as a testing ground, first through trance-heritage techno and later towards a more British vocabulary. His relationship with Teletech accelerated that rise: he went from attending parties as a raver to joining the collective's lineups, first in the UK and then across Europe, linking spaces like ÆDEN in Berlin, FOLD, and high-intensity nights.

A selector who avoids pigeonholing

His music moves between techno, trance, UK garage, hard house, breaks, bassline, and flashes of 2000s deep house. In the booth, he prioritizes selection over genre purity: he can go from a hard-hitting tool to a vocal cut or a garage twist without losing tension. That openness also runs through his productions. After early works like Nightwalker and releases on labels such as Space Trax, RAW, boisha, Hot Meal Records, Teletech, and Warehouse Project Records, he found a turning point with his version of Kerri Chandler's You Are In My System, a remix that surpassed 15 million streams and led him to share the Future Dance program on BBC Radio 1 with Sarah Story and Chandler himself. His leaked collaboration In My Heart with Morgan Seatree reinforced that connection with an audience that follows both his IDs and his way of mixing.

Parallel routes, big stages, and small clubs

Faster Horses' expansion has not been limited to the studio. In 2024, he signed appearances at Glastonbury, Parklife, Creamfields, and The Warehouse Project, as well as performances linked to Intercell, Glitch, and Boiler Room, with tours through Australia and Asia. His alias Pathfinder opens up a more experimental zone: analog trance, psychedelia, ambient, and sci-fi imagery articulated in hardware live sets available on SoundCloud. In parallel, his recent sets point towards a global selector figure, comfortable both on large stages and in 200-person clubs. That tension between massive impact and basement community defines his current position: a fast-paced artist increasingly less willing to stay within a single scene.
