The Mindshake bass, tuned in Cambados

Within the Mindshake Records family, Fer BR has turned thick-bass tech house and funkier techno into a recognizable language. More than a decade as a staple of Paco Osuna's label showcases—and as his A&R—places him at the center of one of the Spanish electronic orbits with the most international miles: from Hï Ibiza to Amnesia, from Barcelona to Buenos Aires.

The cassette that changed the map

He grew up in Cambados, a town in the northwest of the peninsula where the underground scene barely existed. He started with dance and trance compilations until a cousin gave him a cassette with sets by Cristian Varela and Óscar Mulero. By the year 2000, he was already absorbing industrial and Detroit techno at a local club; self-taught, in 2005 he started DJing and organizing parties, with Jeff Mills and the hardgroove of Ben Sims as his first technical compasses.

From Funk Me to Hawtin's catalog

Before joining Mindshake, he signed on vinyl and digital for labels such as Patterns, Sub Cult, Naked Lunch, or Special Series, and launched Funk Me Recordings. In 2011, his first album, This Is Me, arrived. The signing into Osuna's orbit was sealed with the EP Shake Your Mind (2013). That affinity opened the doors to MINUS, Richie Hawtin's label, with the EP Envelopes (2014), still one of his most cited credentials.

Project00, Dirtybird, and Multiple

Since 2019, he has shared the alias Project00 with Paco Osuna, a path of raw techno with originals and remixes for Mindshake. As a solo artist, he has released on Adam Beyer's Truesoul, Elrow Music, Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird—with the EP W3LCOME in 2020—, Rawthentic, Stereo Productions, Deeperfect, and MÜSE. In October 2020, Mindshake released his second album, Multiple: ten tracks that cross minimal, techno, and tech house without letting go of the dancefloor energy.

Nights that keep the groove moving

As a DJ and live act, he has been a regular at Music On (Amnesia) and Hï Ibiza—Now Here in August 2024 and a B2B with Osuna that he himself ranks among his most important nights—, as well as City Hall in Barcelona, Fabrik in Madrid, or Río Electronic in Buenos Aires in 2025. His current sound relies on swing, basslines, and a groovy tech house with minimal ramifications. In 2025 and 2026, he has remained active with EPs like Up & Down (COCO) and Cut The Noise (Mindshake), with international booking through Black Temple.
