The analog groove that conquered Kompakt and Innervisions

On European dancefloors, the house music of Hardt Antoine is instantly recognizable: vinyl-dusted, machine-precise, with chopped vocals and a bassline that pushes without haste. Raised in London with French and Jamaican heritage, he blends house, techno, soul, classical, and eighties pop, always with the groove at the center. He samples his wall of vinyl, writes melodies on analog synthesizers, and avoids overly polished sheen. That palette has led him to Kompakt and Innervisions and, in 2025, to the Ones to Watch list by DJ Mag.

Reculture, from 93 Feet East to his own label

For nearly a decade, he was a full-time hip hop DJ in clubs across the UK and beyond, until he broke that routine in 2017 and founded Reculture, a series of London parties at 93 Feet East and The Steelyard, featuring lineups with Mathew Jonson, Butch, or Francesca Lombardo. The pandemic halted the nights; he shifted the project toward the studio and, in 2020, launched the label with the EP The One. The catalog—Tonight / Are You There, My Love, MAMA, Free—maintains an analog palette, ignores subgenre trends, and treats contemporary art as part of the party.

Fabric, Burning Man, and the international leap

In the booth, he has established himself as a resident at Fabric—including Room 1 and the twentieth anniversary of Innervisions in London—and has performed at Panorama Bar, Cova Santa, Volt in Milan, HÖR in Berlin, Junction 2, and DC-10 with Circoloco. 2024 marked the leap: debut in Ibiza, Brunch Electronik, and the art cars Robot Heart and Mayan Warrior at Burning Man, plus a session for the Keinemusik radio show. In 2025 and 2026 came Let Me Go and Raw (Kompakt and Innervisions), One More Night with Charlotte OC on Crosstown Rebels, a Hot Mix by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 Dance, and TGTHER, his continuous night concept, at ADE.

Anemos Dance and the label circuit

He co-directs Anemos Dance alongside Maglia, Ilias Petrakis, and DJ Gregory, a label anchored in the Cyclades during the off-season. He has also released on TAU—with Adana Twins—, Correspondant, Cin Cin, and Armada. Worldwide booking, excluding the Americas, is managed by WME; in North America and Latin America, by Liaison Artists.
