Origin and training

KETTAMA is the stage name of Evan Campbell, an Irish DJ and producer born in Galway on May 30, 1997. Raised on the Atlantic coast of Ireland, he developed his sound from a city with a limited club scene, but with a very distinct local energy. In his teens, he began producing with tools like Ableton and FL Studio, uploading music to the internet and building an initial community around his tracks. By the age of 17, he was already DJing alongside Shampain in the back room of the Carbon club in Galway, a key period for defining his relationship with the dancefloor and Irish rave culture.

Sound and identity

His music is recognized by a mix of hard-hitting house, techno, speed garage, 90s trance, and rave euphoria. KETTAMA works with direct rhythms, punchy loops, physical basslines, and a high-energy aesthetic designed to activate the dancefloor without hesitation. That approach, often described as frontal and festive, connects the legacy of British house and garage with a contemporary, accelerated, and emotional club sensibility. His universe also revolves around G-TOWN, a way of reclaiming Galway as a creative origin and as his own sonic brand.

Releases and label

The international leap came in 2018 with B O D Y, included on the EP Bucklyn Bridge for Homage, a track that gained traction after support from DJs like Mall Grab. Later came works such as Eastside Avenue, Dance Trax Vol. 23, Temperature Rising, G-TOWN 001, Steel City Dance Discs Volume 26, and collaborations with Lone and Prospa. Together with Shampain, he launched G-TOWN Records, a label associated with his Galway identity. In 2023, he released Fallen Angel, where he reinforced his connection to trance and eurodance, and in 2025, he released his debut album Archangel on Steel City Dance Discs, featuring collaborations with Fred again.., Interplanetary Criminal, DJ Heartstring, KLP, Prospa, Clouds, and other names from his circle.

International projection

Based in London, KETTAMA has established himself as one of the most visible Irish names in global electronic music. He has taken his sound to stages like Coachella, Glastonbury, Portola, Awakenings, Boiler Room, AVA Festival, District X, and Amnesia Ibiza. In 2025, he participated in the BBC Radio 1 residency, and in 2026, he maintains high-profile international dates, in addition to a Steel City schedule announced for Amnesia Ibiza. His current position combines underground punch, festival reach, and a highly recognizable identity within new-generation house and techno.
