At Do Not Sit On The Furniture, the Miami Beach club that has turned elegant underground into a local hallmark, Lucas Zárate maintains a monthly residency designed as a laboratory for his organic and progressive house. There, he warms up for resident artists, records single-take sessions with Pioneer systems, and builds a patient, hypnotic, and emotional dancefloor narrative, far from the easy hit.

From a ten-hour night in Tucumán to the Balance circuit

Born in 2001 in San Miguel de Tucumán, he grew up between national rock and Argentine folklore before the commercial electronic music of his adolescence—Skrillex, Deadmau5, Avicii—opened another door. The definitive click came at a ten-hour outdoor event organized by AND Producciones, with sets by Jorge Ciccioli and Ice Machine: repetition, atmosphere, and control of the space. At eighteen, he began DJing in clubs in his city, including La Boite Club and R9, and in 2021 he moved to the studio with Ableton Live.

That evolution—from immersive techno to progressive house and melodic organic house—has earned him the support of Hernán Cattáneo, Nick Warren, Sébastien Léger, Tim Green, Gorje Hewek, Modd, Fernando Ferreyra, and Emi Galvan. He has shared lineups with John Digweed, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Ezequiel Arias, Niki Sadeki, Khen, Gui Boratto, and Soundexile, and has played alongside Fernando Ferreyra and Nicolás Viana at Eita Producciones dates.

Sendas, labels, and the opening of Balance Miami

In 2022, he landed on Balkan Connection South America, Bekool Records, Droid9, and RYNTH. In 2023, the EP Esporas, released on JFR's Secret Feelings, marked a leap in his catalog. That same year, he co-founded Sendas Music Collective with Dulus, Molac, Alberto Hernández, and Nicolás Viana, a Latin American electronic label with its own distinct accent. His discography has expanded to Zenebona—with works like Sundancer and Aphelion—, Clubsonica—the EP Siamba | Sambuka—, Plaisirs Sonores, Songuara, Kindisch, Amulanga, Sounds Of Sirin, and, now settled in Miami, Do Not Sit Recordings, with The Secret We Found alongside Jessy Nimni. He has also linked his name to The Soundgarden, Nick Warren's label.

In March 2026, he presented Balance Selections 359, nearly two hours live for Balance Music, and opened the Balance Miami showcase during Miami Music Week at 1800 Lucky. In parallel, he has released a Speakerbox session for Electronic Groove and has promoted boat parties with the event brand Surfaced. Today, his project connects the underground of northern Argentina with the international progressive circuit.
