The pulse of M-High lives in a very recognizable spot: flexible basslines, keys with melodic intent, and a dancefloor reading that connects deep house, minimal, and the grooviest energy of contemporary house. From Amsterdam, producer and DJ Marijn Schiedon has been building a club language that looks to pioneers like Kerri Chandler, Apollonia, or DJ Tennis, but also dialogues with a generation close to Brawther, Chris Stussy, Kolter, and D Tiffany. His background as a multi-instrumentalist is evident in a writing style less rigid than usual in the circuit: solos, chords, and basslines play a central, not just functional, role.

Reference labels, remixes, and vinyl culture

His catalog has been consolidated through labels closely linked to the European house circuit, including PIV, Locus, Salty Nuts, Rutilance, Djebali, You&Me, Heavy House Society, Berg Audio, Hot Creations, and Life and Death. Releases such as "By My Side," "Enchant Me EP," "The Answer," "Search 4 Pleasure EP," or "Dark Web Pinger" show an evolution from deep and minimal towards a broader sound, with acid and electro accents and a punch designed for large rooms without losing studio detail. In parallel, his activity as a remixer has grown with work linked to names like Dan Ghenacia, Jovonn, Michel de Hey, DJ Steaw, KiNK, and LF System; his revision of "Nite Life" for Kim English reinforced his presence in the digital and club circuit.

M-High has not relied solely on the studio. His sets usually incorporate a high proportion of his own unreleased material, a trademark that has fueled his reputation among DJs and labels. In recent years, he has played in booths and festivals such as DC-10, fabric, Shelter Amsterdam, Amnesia Ibiza, Loveland, Awakenings, BPM Costa Rica, Space Miami, and Sisyphos Berlin, in addition to tours and dates in London, Ibiza, Miami, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Jakarta. He also maintains a close relationship with PIV, a label where he has developed A&R duties, reinforcing his role within the new Dutch house school. With several number 1s on Beatport, a growing international profile, and a sustained release schedule, M-High occupies an increasingly solid position among the producers updating underground house for a global scene.
