The energy of Cologne runs through Kolter's work as a blend of local club culture, a 90s pulse, and a highly functional take on contemporary house. His music moves naturally between elastic basslines, raw drums, and traces of garage, funk, soul, deep house, breakbeat, and electro, with a direct approach to the dancefloor that avoids being pigeonholed into a single formula. This breadth also defines his sessions: fluid sets with quick selection and physical texture, capable of jumping from deep grooves to more explosive passages without losing continuity.

Hoove, Koltrax and an increasingly distinct identity

Before consolidating his current phase as Kolter, he released music and performed for years as DJOKO, an alias under which he built a solid reputation within the European house circuit. In November 2022, he adopted his surname as his stage name, opening a more personal and recognizable phase. His bond with Cologne is not limited to the DJ booth: in 2016, he launched Hoove alongside Thalo Santana to provide space for advanced house proposals in a city historically dominated by techno. The brand grew as an event platform in Cologne and Berlin, and in 2020 it expanded with a vinyl label that reinforced his role as a scene catalyst.

Added to that ecosystem is Koltrax, his own label launched in 2023 to release material with greater creative control and to provide an outlet for his especially prolific production. His catalog is linked to labels such as Berg Audio, PIV, Shall Not Fade, Rutilance, Hot Creations, and Up The Stuss, in addition to projects and collaborations like Stussko alongside Chris Stussy. Among his recent releases are works such as 15 Seconds of Fame, Who You Talking To ?, Elements : Kolter, Plastic Jam & Close Your Eyes, and the Liquor Store collaboration with Nate Dogg, which show his interest in taking house into flexible, melodic, and highly club-oriented territories.

From the underground booth to the global calendar

Kolter's international projection has been supported both by his releases and an increasingly broad performance schedule. He has passed through reference booths and platforms such as Rex Club in Paris, DC-10 in Ibiza, Shelter in Amsterdam, Thuishaven, and Tomorrowland, in addition to tours through Canada, Australia, and South America. This presence has reinforced his position as a selector and producer capable of connecting the German house tradition with a global sensibility, without abandoning the grit and movement of the dancefloor. Currently, Kolter occupies a prominent place within the new European house circuit: a club, label, and studio artist who works from a clear identity, with a focus on long-running grooves and dance culture without artifice.
