Between the pulse of Leeds and the rhythmic memory of UK garage, Kepler has built a recognizable identity within the UK underground circuit. Originally from Nottingham and based in Leeds for years, his growth was tied to a city with a particularly fertile club culture, where he moved from local booths and residencies to spaces with greater projection. That northern foundation explains much of his language: functional music for the dancefloor, but with a clear attention to detail, swing, and bass pressure.

A unique grammar between house, minimal and UKG

His sound moves between house, tech house, minimal, deep house and UK garage, with elastic basslines, dry percussion, and a treatment of groove that avoids both melodic excess and purely utilitarian rigidity. His sets combine the precision of reduced house, the weight of British bass, and a 90s sensibility that appears in cuts closer to 2-step, electro, or garage. This breadth is also reflected in his aliases: 0113 functions as a path more oriented towards UKG and 2-step, while Relpek is associated with a more electro reading.

Labels with club criteria

His catalog has passed through relevant labels in the underground house circuit such as Constant Sound, Up The Stuss, Semi Delicious, Homegrown, Instinct, EYA Records, Rooted and Pleasure Zone, in addition to works linked to FUSE London and the orbit of Enzo Siragusa. This journey places him in a generation of British producers who have updated the DNA of tech house and minimal without losing the link to the UK soundsystem culture. His releases have received support from figures such as Ben UFO, Raresh, Chris Stussy, Four Tet, Sonja Moonear, Rossi and Shanti Celeste, and have been played on platforms such as BBC Radio 1, NTS and Rinse FM.

From the booth to the creative ecosystem

As a DJ, Kepler has performed in benchmark venues and contexts such as fabric, Space Miami, Shelter Amsterdam, Club Der Visionaere, Lab11, Mint Warehouse, The Loft, Lion & Lamb, Gottwood Festival and Pikes, in addition to maintaining a close relationship with the Leeds scene. Beyond touring and the studio, he has developed an educational and community facet through Studio Orbit, a project linked to music production and the accompaniment of new artists, and has promoted the Perspective label as an extension of his creative universe. His current position combines the craft of a selector, club production, and scene work: an underground profile figure, but with a sustained presence in booths, labels, and communities that define contemporary British house.
