Mano Le Tough

Greystones, Berlin and a long-distance sensibility

Mano Le Tough was born in Greystones, in County Wicklow. His musical identity stems from a broad background: before fully entering electronic music, he played in bands and developed a sensibility close to indie, songwriting, groove, and melancholic textures. After a period in Dublin, where he began to delve into Ableton Live and electronic production, he moved to Berlin, a city that marked his leap into the international club circuit.

His sound moves between house, techno, disco, auteur electronic music, and a very personal form of melodic deep house. In his sets, he does not work from a fixed formula: he combines tension, melody, groove, vocals, psychedelic details, and moments of introspection, always with a very fine reading of the space and the time of the dance floor. This versatility led him to become a regular name in booths such as Berghain / Panorama Bar, Trouw, Fabric London, Robert Johnson, Warung, and Circoloco Ibiza, as well as festivals like Sónar, Dekmantel Festival, and Coachella.

Maeve, albums and a voice of his own

After releasing EPs on labels such as Internasjonal, Buzzin' Fly, Mirau, and Dirt Crew, Mano Le Tough released Changing Days in 2013 via Permanent Vacation, a debut that consolidated his mix of club production, composition, and vocal emotion. In 2015 came Trails, also on Permanent Vacation, and in 2021 he released At The Moment on Pampa Records, the label of DJ Koze. In parallel, in 2012 he co-founded Maeve together with The Drifter and Baikal, a platform that became a central part of his artistic universe and that has gathered deep, elegant, and lasting music.

Passion Beat and the current stage

His career includes remixes and collaborations related to artists such as Róisín Murphy, Pet Shop Boys, Caribou, Aloe Blacc, Erol Alkan, DJ Koze, and Perel. In 2014 he was chosen number 8 in the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs, confirming his weight within the international underground scene. In recent years, he has reinforced a freer stage with Passion Beat, a label started in 2024, releases such as So EP, Entertain Us together with Perel on fabric Originals, and the Mano & Kev series on Maeve. In 2025 he returned to Ireland and began building his own studio near Dublin, while preparing new music and a reactivation of Maeve. In 2026 his name remains linked to an idea of DJing as narrative art: patient selection, emotional mixing, and a deep connection between studio, label, and dance floor.
