Biography of Natte Visstick
A balaclava and a kick that asks for no permission
With a black balaclava and high school playground humor, Natte Visstick turned Dutch memetechno into a language for the dancefloor and TikTok: hard techno, jumpstyle and industrial textures, viral clips and choruses designed for both the video and the warehouse. The name—wet fish stick—is a joke and a brand. The producer remains anonymous, performs with his face covered, and lets the kick drum, the meme, and the DJ booth speak for him. Since 2021, he has been building short tracks, abrupt edits, and a deliberately crude aesthetic that doesn't ask for permission from techno purists.
Pestcore against the label photocopy
The first single, Kk dikke natte visstick, already hinted at the tone. The explosion came in July 2022 with Visstick gooi die kanker kick: number 15 on the Single Top 100, 13th place on the Dutch Top 40 Tipparade, and a rave anthem born in clips. He followed up with Lekkere boterham alongside Vieze Asbak (37th place) and Ik trip 'm with Dikke Baap (34th place). That same year, he co-founded the Pestcore Collectief with Vieze Asbak, Offensief, Krabi, Gladde Paling, Opgekonkerd, and Dikke Baap, after a Cloud 9 Music email leaked asking their producers to copy the genre because it was easy and profitable. The collective was born to defend a homemade, punk, and anti-industry sound: memetechno, troll 'n' bass, and a label run by those who invented it.
From Paradiso to the cinema, with no major behind him
The physical scene arrived immediately. He played Noorderslag, Paaspop, Dauwpop, Mysteryland, and Zwarte Cross, and later Tomorrowland, Verknipt, Teletech Festival, Hive Festival, Free Your Mind, Intents, Rebirth, and Sunrise Festival. The Pestival brought the collective together at Paradiso in Amsterdam. Outside the pestcore circle, he collaborated with Mr. Polska, Yellow Claw, The Partysquad, Sjaak, Lil Texas, Ski Aggu, and Jazzy. POLSKA JUMPSTYLE surpassed 40 million streams on Spotify; CRUSH, with Yellow Claw and RHYME, was featured in the film Babygirl (2025), starring Nicole Kidman. Over 160 million independent streams and nearly three million monthly listeners, without the backing of a major label.
4 THE PEOPLE, rave as a banner
In 2026, he launched the 4 THE PEOPLE movement: community, masks, flags, and his own label for the people who built the scene. He recorded cinematic sets in Iceland and the Utah desert, released the eponymous anthem, and closed New Year's Eve with Teletech x Free Your Mind at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam. It is managed by STANDOUTS; since August 2026, WME has covered tours in North America, South America, Australia, and Asia. He continues to play hard techno, jumpstyle, and industrial chaos with his mask on: an anonymous DJ who turned an internet joke into one of the most recognizable voices in current Dutch rave.
