There are sessions that don't chase the seasonal drop, but rather the Chicago swing, the dirty bass, and the disco that forces you to move your shoulders. That is the zone where Paisley Jensen has carved out a niche within Defected: long mixes, constant energy, and an ear tuned to the golden age of house. Born and raised in Coventry, she has turned that dancefloor memory into a language of her own, halfway between the British club and the Ibiza booths.

From Mondays at DC10 to Pacha, Ushuaïa and Dubai

The bond with the island began as a listener—Mondays at DC10 and nights spread across the Ibiza scene—and ended on the other side of the booth, with dates at O Beach, Amnesia, Ushuaïa, and the Defected residency at Pacha. In the UK, she paved the way at Studio 338 (London) and Progress (Manchester), warmed up dancefloors for Alan Fitzpatrick, Sam Divine, and Low Steppa, and added club and resort residencies, including three months as a resident DJ at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives. In 2024, she made the leap in scale with residencies at Claptone's The Masquerade and Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters. She has shared lineups with Fisher, Groove Armada, Sonny Fodera, and Roger Sanchez, and the Defected brand has also taken her to Dubai, Malta, and festivals like Love Saves The Day and Sundown.

Work Dat, Radio 1 and the crossover with Bunny Sigler

May 2025 left a clear milestone: a headline mix on BBC Radio 1 Dance during the Defected takeover. In June came her debut on DFTD, Work Dat, an addictive bass track, vocal sample, and high-voltage drums designed for the label's more underground line. The track reached No. 31 on the Beatport Top 100 and the Traxsource Top 30, with support from The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones, Darius Syrossian, Groove Armada, Arielle Free, and Danny Howard. In February 2026, she returned to DFTD with Way You Move, featuring the voice of the legendary Bunny Sigler. Added to that are a fifteen-track DJ mix for International Women's Day 2026, long sessions recorded for Defected—including a live set of over an hour from Defected HQ and another from The Basement—and a warm-up at Ushuaïa.
