Rotterdam as the engine of the beat

SANTØS is the artistic project of Glenn Kuurstra, a Dutch DJ and producer associated with Rotterdam and the European hard techno and industrial techno circuit. His identity is built around frontal energy, high-pressure kick drums, and a very physical reading of the dancefloor, with nods to the rave culture of the nineties and the industrial rawness that characterizes part of the new Dutch scene. His sound avoids restraint: he works with constant tension, direct drops, and an aesthetic designed for dark clubs, large-format festivals, and closing hours.

From the local scene to the international radar

SANTØS' growth accelerated within the hard techno ecosystem of the Netherlands, with an increasingly visible presence in cities like Rotterdam, Utrecht, Amsterdam, and other points of the European circuit. His profile became linked to a generation of artists that connects the speed of current techno with elements of neo rave, hard dance, and industrial impulses. That combination allowed him to enter the lineups of brands and spaces such as Verknipt, Rotterdam Rave, Maassilo, Toffler, Glow in the Dark, Nachtwacht, and international events in cities like San Diego, Paris, Belgrade, Zurich, Karlsruhe, Madrid, and Barcelona.

In the studio, SANTØS has developed a catalog focused on hard-hitting and functional tracks, oriented toward maximum dancefloor response. Among his notable works are Absolute Destruction with JXLN, Keep Talking with Toxic Machinery, Make Me Mad, Money Turns On, Break The Speakers, Just A Dream, Part Of Us with DRØS, GALOPPO with INFEED, and Drop That Beat. Festival present and new projection

One of his most important points of visibility came with his set at Verknipt Festival 2025 in Strijkviertelplas, Utrecht, as well as his performance at the Rotterdam Rave Kick-Off Afterparty in Maassilo. His current schedule places him on 2026 lineups such as Toffler Festival, Verknipt Festival, HIVE Festival, Under The Bridge Festival, Teletech Festival, Duikboot Festival, and club dates under the SANTØS and friends format in Rotterdam.
