Flute, keys and a tempo that cannot be caught

In the nights of Ibiza, Satori treats every performance like a blank canvas: flute, keys and synthesizer in real time, without pre-programmed tracks. That commitment to risk—two laptops, a library of sounds recorded by himself and what he calls the dynamic illusion of tempo—has made him one of the most recognizable voices of organic house and afro house live, halfway between a ceremony and the dance floor.

Lounge and club melodies in Nijmegen

Son of a Serbian father and a South African mother, he grew up in Nijmegen surrounded by jazz, afrobeat and Balkan music at home, while Dutch radio played pop and electronic music. He taught himself guitar around the age of twelve and piano around eighteen; by 2007 he delved into club music, first with techno and deep house. Before consolidating his solo project, he formed the duo El Mundo & Satori with Pim van der Burgt, with tracks supported by Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice and Luciano.

From Crosstown Rebels to his own label

The first album, Into Void (2011), paved the way; the leap in scale came with In Between Worlds (2015) and was affirmed when Damian Lazarus brought him to Crosstown Rebels. Maktub (2017), inspired by One Thousand and One Nights, and Dreamin' Colours (2022), recorded at Sonic Vista Studios in Ibiza with Henry Sarmiento, are the pillars of his catalog. He has also released on Sol Selectas—with the re-imagining album Re:Imagined (2020)—and on DGTL Records. On July 1, 2022, he inaugurated Maktub Records with Djelem Djelem, an exclusive collaboration with the EXIT Festival. Later came works with The Band from Space, the remix of You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen (2024), Niška Banja for EXIT R:Evolution and, in 2025-2026, a series of singles and the EP Domenico.

Heart, Cercle and the current circuit

His big break in Ibiza was Heart in 2015; later, WooMooN at Cova Santa (2016) and an eighteen-month residency at Heart, crowned in 2019 by the Maktub nights every Thursday. He has appeared on the lineups of Coachella and the main stage of EXIT in Serbia, has played in front of the Giza pyramids and signed one of his most iconic live sets for Cercle at Fort Louvois. In 2022 he presented the concept A Starry Night at Club Chinois. Today he lives in Ibiza, has over 450,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and maintains an international calendar with a live show that he continues to improvise every night.
