The night the circuit hit the sand

On October 15, 2023, with the MotoGP of Indonesia still in the air at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Dash Berlin provided the soundtrack for the opening of Mandalika Beach Club. The venue was not born as a late-night nightclub or a touring brand: it is a beach club on lot C5, within the ITDC complex in Kuta, and that set—with DJ Yasmin, DJ Nikki and DJ Yola—was experienced as the first major international DJ event in Lombok. Riders and Dorna staff mingled on the dance floor; Fabio Quartararo went up on stage. Erick Herlangga, representative of the ownership, defined the site's mission with a phrase that continues to guide its calendar: bridging sports tourism and entertainment by the sea.

Bamboo, three pools and the shore

A year earlier, the volume was already standing. In October 2022, ITDC—then with Ari Respati—and the club signed a commitment to add leisure to the KEK Mandalika, about five minutes from the circuit, ahead of the WorldSBK. The architecture does not copy the concrete of the neighboring resorts: Dikky Warrokka, director of the venue, described a structure of Lombok bamboo, built with local labor. The team finished the work on October 6, 2023; the grand prix party arrived the following Sunday, after a final 45-day stretch focused on kitchen and service.

Water is the hallmark of the venue. It is organized into three pools: a Chill at Pool with a bar and beach view, a Cold Pool cooled to between 10 and 15 °C, and a 40-meter infinity pool open to the horizon of the Kuta shore. There are sun loungers, a swim-up bar, a second more secluded pool, and direct access to the sand. The dining room, in two wings, was designed for 178-200 covers. The Chairman Room covers groups of 10 and 20 people, with a private pool and beach. The capacity managed by the house was around 500 guests; on the MotoGP weekend, the count stretched to 500-800 if the entire shore was included. The opening menu mixed Western, Indonesian, Japanese and Chinese cuisine with island dishes, including ayam taliwang and oxtail soup.

Electronic music when the paddock lights up Lombok

Mandalika Beach Club does not maintain a clubbing season. It opens during the day as a restaurant and beach club, and concentrates electronic music at sunsets and events tied to motorsports. On May 3, 2025, Dash Berlin returned to the same stage for the Ducati Party, the closing of Ducati Indonesia's We Ride As One, with ITDC and MGPA. That night, the single Moonburn premiered in Southeast Asia, with festival tickets and VIP tables. Outside of those events, the day-to-day is restaurant, sun lounger and sunset, with daily opening from 10:00. The dance floor, here, is the terrace that looks out over the Indian Ocean when the circuit calls to Lombok.
