British techno crowns the tenth anniversary

The tenth edition of Dantz Festival has definitively closed its programming by announcing the veteran British DJ and producer Ben Sims as the main star of its lineup. The event, which will be held on August 28th and 29th at the iconic Miramón amphitheater in San Sebastián, thus consolidates a proposal strongly oriented towards underground techno. This confirmation marks a crucial moment for the organization, which celebrates a decade of transforming the cultural landscape of the Basque Country through electronic and avant-garde music.

A lineup that fuses international avant-garde and roots

With more than 25 years of experience behind him, Sims' sonic identity, deeply linked to groove, funk, and the rawness of drum machines, will provide the necessary force for the event's closing. The Briton will share the stage with a selection of world-class artists from eight different countries. Among the most prominent names are the Norwegian duo Röyksopp in DJ set format, the explosive back-to-back format between Nastia and Mark Broom, as well as iconic figures such as Tiga, house master Satoshi Tomiie, and electro pioneer Anthony Rother, who will present a hybrid set.

In addition to the international artillery, the festival's curation stands out for its stylistic diversity and support for innovation. A clear example is the participation of Kangding Ray, recent winner of the 2026 Goya Award for Best Original Score for the film Sirât. At the national and regional level, local talent is solidly represented by rising profiles such as Lis Sarroca, Divorce From New York in live format, Anah, Yahaira, and Angela Grief, reinforcing the fabric of the state's electronic scene.
