Dish Dash achieves Guinness Record with 61 DJs and Lucid SUV

Saudi duo Dish Dash and Lucid Motors set a historic Guinness Record by gathering 61 DJs for an eight-hour set powered by an electric SUV.

The global electronic scene has witnessed a milestone that intertwines environmental sustainability, high-performance technological innovation, and club culture. Recently, the official Guinness World Records organization has certified an unprecedented feat carried out on January 28, 2026, in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The acclaimed duo of producers and selectors Dish Dash, composed of brothers Hassan and Abbas Ghazzawi, in direct collaboration with electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Group, has set the world record for the "Most people in an online DJ video mix relay."

Cutting-edge engineering: The Lucid Gravity ecosystem

Unlike conventional electronic music events, which rely on connection to the traditional power grid or the use of noisy and polluting diesel combustion generators, this musical marathon was powered in its entirety by a single sport utility vehicle (SUV): the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring.

The battery of this car, which has 828 horsepower, provided uninterrupted power to the entire production team. According to technical reports confirmed during the record audit, the electric SUV was responsible for keeping the multi-format players, mixers, near-field monitors, the main PA system, and the complex video transmission infrastructure operational. This empirical deployment demonstrated the viability of software-defined vehicles (SDV) as mobile creative infrastructures, transforming a luxury means of transport into a high-capacity portable power station.

Millimeter precision: 61 artists in an uninterrupted relay

The regulations imposed by the Guinness World Records adjudicators to validate the attempt required absolute synchronization and impeccable technical compliance. To ensure the legitimacy of the record, the following unwavering parameters were established:

  • Each participating DJ had to perform for an exact block of eight minutes.
  • Transitions between artists had to be fluid, continuous, and without abrupt interruptions in the sound flow.
  • A maximum margin of only 30 seconds was allowed to perform the technical relay in the booth without invalidating the attempt.
  • All sound and visual equipment had to be powered solely and exclusively by the electric vehicle's battery.

The event lineup functioned as an exhaustive X-ray of the underground talent currently flourishing in the Kingdom. In addition to hosts Dish Dash—who have been pioneers in placing Saudi Arabia on the world dance music map through their record label and event brand IN ACT—the booth saw 61 key figures from the regional scene. Names such as Cosmicat, RDJ, Loush, Blacky, Hatoon, BRQ, Gazi, BKR, Hameedo, Kriss, Derico, and Hifi contributed their particular vision of tech-house, pure techno, and minimal, consolidating the country's rich sonic diversity.

Seeing 61 DJs gather on a single stage with Lucid Motors was a powerful reminder of the depth of talent we have locally. We are proud to have created this moment with everyone involved.

A new paradigm for touring event production

Beyond the international prestige granted by the official certification, this event underscores the rapid expansion of the network of collectives, promoters, and musical platforms in the Middle East. The initiative not only positions Jeddah as an emerging epicenter for cutting-edge cultural initiatives, but also redefines the standards of live event production.

The convergence between electric mobility and the entertainment industry opens an unprecedented horizon for the electronic scene. By eliminating dependence on fixed electrical infrastructures in remote locations, pilot projects of this magnitude suggest an imminent future where pop-up parties, underground raves, and boutique stages in natural environments can be executed with a drastically reduced carbon footprint. All this, while keeping intact the acoustic fidelity and visual immersion that contemporary clubbing demands.
