A few days ago, the British firm Novation officially presented the second generation of its dedicated hardware: the FLkey 2 series. Designed in close collaboration with Image-Line, these MIDI controllers eliminate the barrier between physical gear and the digital workstation. The range is divided into four formats to cover any studio or live performance need: Mini 25, 37, 49, and 61 keys.

The generational leap of the FLkey 2 stands out for its renewed hardware architecture. All models now incorporate a high-contrast OLED screen that facilitates reading values, chords, and parameters in real time without needing to look at the monitor. Additionally, the 16 RGB pads have been redesigned and include real polyphonic aftertouch, an essential feature to provide maximum expressiveness to finger drumming.
