The city of Teruel inaugurated its long-awaited Fair Week this Saturday, July 4, with the celebration of the third edition of the On Music Festival. This event, which consolidates its position as a contemporary tradition, marks the beginning of ten days of festivities that will culminate with the historic Vaquilla del Ángel, one of the most emblematic celebrations in the Aragonese province. The festival, located in the iconic Jardines de la Escalinata —an architectural space in the Neo-Mudéjar style that provides unique acoustics and aesthetics—, brought together live music lovers for a marathon day of twelve uninterrupted hours. With a deployment of more than a hundred musicians and careful technical production, the venue was transformed into an open-air cultural epicenter, taking advantage of the large garden and shaded areas to ensure the comfort of attendees from noon until midnight.
Emerging talent and a closing with a BPM beat
Organized by the On Music Cultural Association in close collaboration with the Department of Festivities of the Teruel City Council, the festival deployed fifteen combos from the On Music Center for Musical Studies (C.E.M.) on its stage. Throughout the day, local groups such as The News, Los Alicantes, The Nameless, and the On Music Band performed a sound range that spanned pop, rock, funk, indie, and soul. Each band had a precise amount of time on stage, generating a constant flow of performances with hardly any pauses, keeping the audience's energy at its peak. However, the climax of the evening was reserved for synthesis and clubbing.
On the stroke of midnight, the acoustic and electric instrumentation gave way to turntables, controllers, and mixing consoles. The main stage hosted a carefully curated DJ set operated entirely by students from the academy's own DJ workshop. This transition to electronic rhythms provided the necessary groove to make attendees vibrate in the final stretch, demonstrating the growing interest in club culture, harmonic mixing, and digital production in the Aragon region. The young selectors demonstrated their technical expertise, closing the day with a session that kept the BPMs high.

An immersive experience beyond the music
Beyond the strict sound proposal, the venue was conditioned to offer a comprehensive and accessible experience, aimed at both families and groups of young people. The organization, aware of the duration of the event, set up a large gastronomic area equipped with food trucks and beverage bars. This space allowed attendees to taste everything from hamburgers and pizzas to more traditional options, recharging their batteries without missing a single chord from the main stage.
