Hola Club Sitges

Between the industrial breakwater of Vallcarca and a pebble cove, Hola Club Sitges has turned a beachfront beach bar into an open-air dancefloor on the Barcelona electronic circuit. The venue looks out to the Mediterranean without a roof: wooden DJ booth, stacks on both sides, and the breeze of Cala Vallcarca as the only wall.

The coast that doesn't look like Sitges

Isolated between the C-31 and the Garraf massif, the cove is pet-friendly and is far from the urban promenade. The landscape—sea, cliff, and the memory of the cement factory—is the local's signature. You arrive by road, there is parking next to the sand, and the space unfolds into a terrace, tables, and a dancefloor that, at sunset, stops being a restaurant to function as a club.

From beach bar to afternoon destination

The name has circulated through the beaches of Sitges since the mid-2010s, first as a gastronomic beach club. In 2022, the project opened a new stage in Vallcarca: Mediterranean lunch cuisine and, on weekends, house and techno sessions that extend the afternoon. The format is not that of an indoor nightclub: you eat, you are in a hammock, and you end up dancing a jump away from the water.

Funktion-One against the horizon

What has put this cove on the club map is not just the view. Several seasons have established a Funktion-One system in open-air format, without the volume limitations of the center of Barcelona. Collectives like Output and Les Enfants Brillants used the venue as a summer home; city parties—HOPE, Dimensions, Berg Audio, JABBA—go down to Sitges with lineups of house, techno, and vinyl. In that orbit, heavy names have passed, from Maceo Plex to Sven Väth, with sunset as the peak hour.

Season, not eternal night

The venue functions as a beach club by day and as an afternoon dancefloor when there is an event. The strong season covers from spring to early autumn; the agenda is concentrated on Fridays, Saturdays, and, above all, Sundays at the beach. It does not replace a late-night club: it closes when the cove goes out. That time restraint, the open-air, and the sound at the water's edge are its character.
