Sonorama

The opening with Troy Pierce, on January 26, 2019, set the tone: in the heart of Parque Lleras, Sonorama was born as an electronic music dance floor and not as just another annex of the El Poblado pink zone.

The venue that Scene built in Lalinde

The club is the physical home of the production company Scene, which was already operating in the Medellín scene and wanted its own venue. It occupies Local 101 of Carrera 37 #10-37, in Lalinde, next to terraces, restaurants and the most visible nightlife in the city. Instead of competing in the same codes of that night, the room stood as an alternative for techno, house, tech house, progressive and trance.

Access is a narrow corridor, marked by the pixelated isotype in pink neon and the SONORAMA sign. Inside, the dance floor is wrapped in a dark interior, with a disco ball, LED screens and a visual stage. A mezzanine overlooks the dance floor and a retractable roof opens the volume when the weather allows it. There is a VIP area and cocktail bar. The scale is club, not arena: a compact space designed to feel the booth up close.

Locals, Warehouse and the international dance floor

In the first weeks, Valentino Kanzyan and Steve Lawler already passed through the booth, and the Locals party served as a platform for selectors from the city such as DH Moon, Andrés Claro, Alexa DJ and Kriss Salas. That double track —local talent and guests from outside— has been maintained. The room has hosted Warehouse nights, One/Three cycles and Platform004 parties, always under the motto Let's Dance More.

The international billboard has left its mark: Marc Houle on a club date, Joris Voorn with a Spectrum Radio recorded in the room and Rødhåd on the ID Records anniversary, in addition to events such as M.I.T.A.

Still a dance floor home in El Poblado

The venue remains active in 2026, with regular nights from Thursday to Saturday from 21:00 to 04:00 and extra openings when the programming calls for it. In a neighborhood saturated with other genres, Sonorama has sustained itself as the electronic dance floor home of El Poblado: a human-scale, dark and dense club, where music rules over the pink zone decor.
