Red velvet and a stalls area that changes shape

The shine of the golden moldings, the crystal lamps, and the red velvet boxes define the new life of Teatro Pereyra, a neoclassical building of French inspiration capable of going from auditorium to cabaret, banquet, or dance floor. The main room retains 54 boxes and the upper level Es Galliner; it offers 605 seats in theater mode and up to 1000 people standing. Its technical reconstruction incorporated a floor tiltable up to 4%, 286 mobile seats, and a stage with three hydraulic platforms that can operate independently or remain flush with the floor.

From the island's first curtain to the 2024 rebirth

Driven since 1898 by Commander Vicente Pereira, Abel Matutes, and Josep Tarrés, the venue opened on April 6, 1899, as the first theater in Ibiza. For decades it hosted theater, variety, circus, ballroom dancing, banquets, conferences, and film screenings, becoming a center of sociability for several generations. The main room closed in 1987 and the property was declared a Cultural Interest Asset in 2006. The long rehabilitation recovered the symmetrical facade, balustrades, frescoes, doors, clock, chandeliers, and historical coverings; during the works, remains of a Roman settlement also appeared under the floor. On May 3, 2024, it raised the curtain again after sixteen years of intervention.

The show continues in club mode

Its contemporary identity does not respond to the conventional superclub model. The space links live music, performing arts, gastronomy, and club culture, so that the dinner show can transform after midnight into a dance session within the same architecture. The own brand Pereyra Sessions articulates that transition. In the 2026 season, the nightlife calendar incorporates WHO Nights, the artistic residency Ethereal, Le Baile Pop by Keep On Dancing, and the Saturdays of La Cucaracha, with crossovers of house, disco, soul, afro house, salsa, merengue, bachata, and classic reggaeton. These are parties and cycles hosted by the theater, not the name of the physical venue.

Heritage with show engineering

The modernization installed a main Meyer Sound system with twelve LINA modules, 1100-LFC and 750-LFC subwoofers, Ultra-X reinforcements, and Galileo processing, in addition to a DiGiCo SD9 console. A 5.5 by 5-meter LED screen, large-format stage lighting, and audiovisual distribution via fiber complete the infrastructure. Around the room, Café Pereyra operates with daytime activity and music, and Sala Sandoval, equipped with a terrace; the outdoor porch maintains the building's historical relationship with the center of Ibiza. The venue remains active all year round with hours subject to programming and has adapted access and restrooms.
