The energy of Tenerife runs through much of Alex Wellmann's language: firm percussion, elastic basslines, and a direct reading of the dancefloor oriented towards tech house. His profile has been consolidated from the Canary Islands with regular production and a clubber identity that moves between high-voltage house, club minimal, and deep tech, always with a functional approach for DJ booths and peak-time slots.

From the local studio to labels with an international circuit

His discography began to gain traction in the second half of the 2010s, with releases and collaborations that placed him on labels such as Piston Recordings, Roush Label, Sanity, Clarisse Records, Rawsome Recordings, Deeperfect, and elrow Music. In 2017, he signed the Peaky Blinders EP to Piston Recordings, featuring the tracks Peaky Blinders and Way Back, and that same period saw works like the Fingers Crossed EP, Cocaine, Les Nubeiros, or the Santa Cruz EP. Later came releases like Guettin alongside Jay de Lys, Get Down Boy, Growin, Fuzzy, Briggy Briggy, Cwazy, the Lick It EP, and Lay Lowwz, references that show a trajectory focused on dry grooves, fragmented vocals, and rhythmic pressure designed for the club.

A symbolic leap with Mango

The release of Mango in 2022 marked one of his most visible moments. The track was presented as his debut on Deeperfect, with a more melodic and tropical reading within his tech house framework, and it reinforced his projection outside the island circuit. Around that time, his role as the first Canarian artist to sign with the label was highlighted, as well as the support from scene names like Wade, Héctor Couto, or George Privatti. His music has also circulated on the radar of international artists linked to house and tech house, a fact consistent with the orientation of his productions towards effective and quick-response dancefloor tools.

DJ booths, festivals, and continuity

In addition to studio work, Wellmann maintains a presence in DJ booths both inside and outside of Tenerife. He has been part of the lineup for GreenWorld Festival Tenerife 2022 alongside Marco Carola, Héctor Couto, Ben Sterling, and Melanie Ribbe, and has appeared in club programming such as ON GOING at El Sótano in Madrid, ElectroFutura at The Crowsnest, and La Villa LVL in La Orotava. His current position is that of a Canarian producer specialized in contemporary tech house, with a published catalog, sustained club activity, and an artistic narrative linked to the expansion of the Tenerife electronic scene.
