In the Spanish house scene, Alexander Som has established himself as a profile capable of uniting booth craft, pop energy, and club language. His current identity moves between house, tech house, and a groove rooted in funk and disco, with sets built from tense rhythms, sharp percussion, impactful basslines, and a selection designed to sound unique. This way of understanding live performance comes from an early career: he started DJing at 13, performed as DJ SOM in afternoon sessions during his adolescence, and in 2006 was recognized as breakthrough DJ before steering his path toward production.

Madrid as a base and the booth as an expansion

Born and artistically developed in Madrid, he has moved from the national scene to an international agenda with a presence at high-profile festivals and clubs. His career includes performances at Ultra Europe, Parookaville, FIB Benicàssim, A Summer Story, and Medusa, as well as appearances in venues and spaces such as Fabrik Madrid, Club Chinois Ibiza, Illuzion Phuket, Noa Beach Club, Mad Club Lausanne, and Versuz. In the booth, he has shared the bill with names like Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Purple Disco Machine, Claptone, The Martinez Brothers, Chris Stussy, Diplo, and 2ManyDJs, reinforcing a position increasingly associated with the international house circuit.

From Reborn to a more club-oriented signature

His album Reborn, released in 2019, marked a stage of opening toward the fusion of electronic, pop, funk, and nu disco. In parallel, his music and remixes have connected with audiovisual projects and artists from the Spanish scene such as Dorian, Sidonie, Carlos Jean, Najwa Nimri, Mala Rodríguez, and DJ Nano. The leap toward a more global reading of house came with milestones like Life Is Back, released on Axtone, and with his presence on specialized radio stations and platforms, including BBC Radio 1.

A present linked to international labels

The most recent stage places him at a point of clear growth within club house. His recent catalog includes works and remixes on labels such as Golden Recordings, Golden Path Recordings, A-Trak & Friends, elrow Music, Process Records, TSZR, and Spinnin’ Records. Among his references are Sauvage, the remix of Phantasy for Claptone and Raphaella, Surrender with Kideko, Feel So Good with Liah Barrett, Paddingtone, Fabulous with Starclass and Liah Barrett, as well as collaborations with artists such as Yolanda Be Cool, Piero Pirupa, Tom & Collins, and Crystal Fighters.
