A shark over the Yuma tent

At Coachella, midday turns underwater: a metallic shark hangs over the Yuma tent and ARODES turns the Californian desert into a melodic, percussive, and emotional journey. That frame summarizes his place in the current electronic scene: a selector trained between the Mediterranean and the United States who has brought a deep dancefloor sound to Tomorrowland, Burning Man, ADE, Zamna, or BPM Festival, and to booths like Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, Pacha, Space Miami, Brooklyn Mirage, or Soho Garden in Dubai.

Football faded; Ibiza ignited something else

He grew up in Alicante, in a house where reggae and classic rock vinyls played and his mother taught music. Until he was nineteen or twenty, football was his obsession; when that path ended, his first nights at Pacha and Space in Ibiza—so close to home—changed the map. In 2011, he settled in Los Angeles: first in the orbit of parties and promotion, then behind the decks. A Solomun set at Coachella 2017, with the remix of Clap Your Hands stuck in his head, accelerated the decision. By 2020 he was already touring; in 2021 he started releasing music, with stints on labels like RADIANT, Sudam Records, and MoBlack.

Unreleased: the house that doesn't fit in a single format

In 2022, he gave shape to Unreleased as a party brand; in 2024, Unreleased Records was born and he signed a long-term partnership with Armada Music for A&R, distribution, and marketing. The starting gun was Use Somebody, together with Redd: an afro house reinterpretation of the Kings of Leon classic that Adriatique, John Summit, Vintage Culture, or Andrea Oliva brought to their sessions, and which had already worked at Burning Man, Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, and Pacha. Kidz, later remixed by CamelPhat, solidified itself as an anthem. In the same cycle came Lucy, Don't Know, Reborn, Stronger Than Before, the remix of Destination Lost with Jan Blomqvist, or Turning Stones by CamelPhat with Josh Gigante, in addition to the compilation series Game Changers, designed to give a voice to emerging names on the label.

Residencies in the sun and a map that never stops

The summer of 2024 established Unreleased residencies at Void Club (Mykonos) and Playa Soleil (Ibiza). The support of Adriatique, ARTBAT, Bedouin, Black Coffee, Hernan Cattaneo, Keinemusik, Monolink, Rüfüs Du Sol, or Vintage Culture places his palette between melodic techno, afro house, and indie house: music to dance to and to get emotional with. Today he splits his base between Miami and the Ibizan summers, has released on Cercle Records, and continues to expand Unreleased as a community, not just as a catalog. The alias, formed with the initials of Adrián Rodríguez Esteban, works as an anchor: no matter the continent, the booth keeps speaking Alicantino.
