The Sierra hook

The long melodies and insistent bass of Sierra put Baset on the global melodic techno map. Released in April 2024 alongside Argy on Cercle Records, the track climbed the Beatport charts and, in six months, surpassed 15 million plays; it later exceeded 50 million streams and earned gold certification in France. The cut received support from David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, CamelPhat, Anyma, Tale of Us, Pete Tong, and ARTBAT, and was played on BBC Radio 1.

A Cairo laboratory of melody and drive

Originally from Cairo, Baset has been working since 2014 on a crossover of hypnotic trance, emotional vocals, and club rhythms. On labels such as Shagara Records, Harabe, Awen Records—where he collaborated with Tal Fussman—, Revelation, and Melodic Room, he refined an ethereal and progressive profile. The EP Fallen Between Cracks (2023) and the single ENATO (2024, ERRORR) marked the transition from that Cairo circuit to a more vocal and peak-time writing style.

Neverland, Sphere and the Afterlife axis

In March 2025, he became the first Egyptian artist to collaborate with Anyma: Neverland (From Japan) was released on Interscope Records and was part of The End of Genesys, after having premiered at the Sphere residency in Las Vegas. On June 13, 2025, he played at the Afterlife Festival in Barcelona, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. That year also saw the arrival of Fuel with Nevve on Afterlife, Scumrun with Nick Matthew on Zamna Records, and Drift on UPPERGROUND, the label of ARTBAT, with propulsive bass and an oriental-inspired soundscape.

Booth in Giza and the pulse of 2026

In February 2026, he shared the night with Miss Monique at the Pyramids of Giza. In July, he released Feel Good with Bittermind on 1001 Recordings, linked to Tomorrowland Music. With an audience of hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and an agenda that crosses clubs in Cairo, Afterlife, and major European labels, Baset has become one of the most visible Egyptian figures in contemporary melodic techno, with tracks designed for both dance radio and festivals.
