The motto WE RUN THIS SH*T sums up the attitude with which Control Freak has burst onto the American bass music scene. From New York, he builds trap, dubstep, and techno sets with the energy of a bass rockstar: sharp drops, vocoder, and hip hop cuts that hit just as hard in a festival as they do in a club. He is not a single-BPM producer: he blends the riddim density of his early years with a more hybrid palate, halfway between left-field bass and dancefloor anthems.
Round Table, Sable Valley and Monstercat
His discography began in the late 2010s on Disciple Round Table, with the Abysmal EP (2019) and the Senary EP (2020). In parallel came The Devil's Back with Tisoki, Kabeedo / Phantoms on Odio Records, and Warp Zone alongside Ray Volpe on Never Say Die. Bad Mood, with Wooli, landed on Subsidia and compilations tied to Lost Lands. His profile jump came with Sable Valley, RL Grime's label: the NOFORTUNE EP (2023) welds techno, trap, and wave, and tracks like No Chill, OMG Anthem, or THROW YA HANDZ UP cemented his signature sound. In 2024, Monstercat released EYES ON ME, Street Talk with beastboi., and EXHALE. He has also collaborated with Nvadrz, Nikko, Nyptane, QUEST, and Space Laces.
Lost Lands, Escape and the bass circuit
His live act has taken him to Lost Lands—with an official 2024 DJ mix released on Apple Music—, Beyond Wonderland, Escape Halloween, Breakaway in Philadelphia, and dates on the Sable Valley circuit, including North Coast. In 2023, he opened for SLANDER; later, he toured with RL Grime, Ray Volpe, and Blanke. He has received support from RL Grime, Excision, Dillon Francis, The Chainsmokers, Porter Robinson, and DJ Snake. Concert booking is handled by Corson Talent Agency.
The album that turns the motto into a manifesto
2025 brings EAT YOUR FRIENDZ, an album and his own visual campaign, with cuts like THROW YA HANDZ UP, SAINT, LUV ME, HAUNTED HOUSE, or BFF with Nyptane. The set filmed at Escape Halloween 2025 serves as his calling card in the booth: over fifty minutes of IDs, edits, and catalog. In 2026, he maintains a North American schedule and releases SHOOT 2 KILL with Tisoki. Today, he is one of the most recognizable young voices in New York hybrid bass: less genre formula and more attitude-driven brand.
