Monday black music at Es Paradis

In San Antonio, You Know The Vibes has turned Mondays at Es Paradis into one of the longest-running urban residencies in Ibiza. DJ Policy sets the tempo: hip hop, bashment, afrobeat, and reggaeton, with guests and a dancefloor designed for singing along. In 2026, the party reopens at the end of April and runs almost until Halloween, with Policy as the anchor of the night and residents like Bubba, Danny Beck, Grant Collins, and MC Broown.

From SLK grime to the 1Xtra booth

Before the Balearic superclubs, Policy emerged from the London grime circuit as a member of SLK, the northwest London collective that took Hype! Hype! to the UK Top 40. He was also known as Pistol PP. On May 3, 2013, BBC Radio 1Xtra sat him down side-by-side with DJ Target; later, he recorded a Mid Day Mix with Nick Bright. That craft of an open-format selector—UK garage, R&B, dancehall, house mixed—is what he later deploys on the island.

From Hï and Ushuaïa to Tomorrowland

He has been in Ibiza for over a decade. In 2021, his tenth summer, he strung together residencies at Ibiza Rocks—including support for Fatboy Slim—, Applebum, Garage Nation, his own night at Itaca, and hip hop, R&B, and reggaeton sessions on the Rio rooftop. His map of booths includes O Beach, Ushuaïa, Hï, Eden, Privilege, and Soul City. On July 24, 2022, he played at Tomorrowland, on the second weekend of the festival, at the Harbour House Radio Ultra Modern stage, alongside Burd and BeatFox.

An open format that asks for no permission

His trademark is versatility: moving from a club classic to a UK garage mashup without losing the thread of the party. He releases mixes like Urban Policy and House Policy, mixes UKG under the You Know The Vibes banner, and maintains a live set channel, including a session at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. In 2023, he relaunched The Vibes on Mondays at Es Paradis; in 2026, he maintains You Know The Vibes and appears as a weekly resident for R&B Affair at the Ibiza Rocks pool, with guests like DJ Spoony or Lewis Bones. Born in London and settled in Ibiza, he remains the urban deejay who opens the most doors in San Antonio when the island calls for black music at club volume.
