The machine in the center of the dancefloor

The triangular booth of Universo Makina summarizes the current moment for DJ Sisu: three names from the hard dance scene playing at the same time, in the middle of the room, without the privilege of an elevated stage. Together with Pastis and Buenri, he has turned that all night long format into a tour of clubs, arenas, and festivals throughout Spain, and on May 8, 2025, he took it to HÖR Berlin in a FACE 2 FACE that once again placed makina on one of the most influential set platforms in Europe.

Resident at Pont Aeri

The major breakthrough came in 2004, when he won the Pont Aeri DJ contest and became a resident at the venue that defined the hardcore and makina of the 2000s. He came from a start to the decade with maxis that still circulate among collectors: Scream 2002, with DJ Ortuño, and No Time to Cry (2003), with DJ Robert, a production highlighted in 2004 in the DJ Mag circuit. His booth language was—and still is—accelerated vocal tracks and hard basslines, the same pulse of the remember nights that claim him at Mediterránea Festival, at Input in Barcelona, or at FACE 2 FACE.

Luka Caro, Midnight and Tomorrowland

In 2010 he parted ways with Pont Aeri and reinvented himself as Luka Caro: house, dancefloor electronica, and an alias designed to travel. On May 7 of that year, he premiered the Midnight Festival at the Palau de Fires in Girona and built Midnight Group as a promoter, label, and agency. Tracks like Running Away, Believe in Me, and Go!, the latter with Sony Music, plus Obey alongside Juicy M on Armada Music, were played on stations like Flaix FM and Máxima FM. In July 2016, he played at Tomorrowland, on the Generation Smash stage by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Born in Celrà, he has kept Girona as his base—even as a management teacher at EUMES—and has toured Asia, Mexico, and Croatia.

Makina Records and the tour that doesn't stop

The return to the sound that made him a resident is not a cameo: with D-Vstor he releases on Makina Records, and with Pastis and Buenri he signed the Universo Makina EP. The studio sessions of his volume saga coexist with live shows at Terminal Sabadell, Pandora Sevilla, or Amnesia. Booking in Spain is managed by Midnight Group, while Universo Makina is planning the 2026 tour for clubs and venues across the country. In the booth, Sisu remains the bridge between the memory of Pont Aeri and a makina that, once again, is filling new dancefloors.
