Biography of DJ.DRAGO
The DJ booth that closed the Nau
In the final stretch of Nau B-3, already located on the Castelldefels highway in Gavà, the night was built with imported hardcore, mákina, and remember segments that could continue until dawn. DJ.DRAGO became linked to that era as a resident and as the club's final DJ. The sets from April 14 and December 22, 2001, the latter remembered as the closing of that Nau, document a direct, vinyl-based, and long-track style of DJing.
From Olesa to the Fridays at Rockola
The residency had started earlier, at the Nau in Olesa de Montserrat. He began to DJ in 1997, with turntables and vinyl, and later transferred that same mixing style to digital tools. The sound that sustains his DJ booth combines mákina, hardcore, and progressive. In 2002, he added the Fridays at Rockola Barcelona, the other residency that accompanies his name. On record, he signed as Drago alongside Xavo on the track "Alarm," included in Scorpia The History 10 Aniversario (Tempo Music, 2003), and he is listed as A&R on Pit Bull - The Official Compilation (Algo Salvaje, 2000).
The remember archive and the current DJ booth
When the legendary clubs became memories, he continued to appear on the lineups that recreated them. In 2013, he dedicated a set to his candidacy for Primavera Sound. In 2014, he released a radio spot for the 24th anniversary of the Nau. On April 16, 2016, he left a fragment of the Epic Festival by El Que Més Trenca at the Ultraclub in Girona. On December 21, 2019, he shared Remix The Final Battle in Rubí with Javi Level, Cool Jumpers, DJ Rubeli, and DJ Maki. On January 22, 2022, he joined the afternoon slot of the Digital Hits FM marathon, twelve hours non-stop to benefit AFANOC and La Casa dels Xuklis, with an audience at Catwalk Barcelona. In May 2023, he uploaded Old Gold Classics, the first of the sets with which he celebrated 25 years in the DJ booth. In 2026, he was announced again on February 7 for the third anniversary of Reset Club, alongside Xavi Metralla, Xcel Groove, and several current mákina duos. He remains active from Barcelona, between the archive of the Nau and the dance floors that still demand that sound.
